  1. Actually it’s sad that I want the bears to be short here because then they can run the clock down preventing another last minute opponent scoring drive. And also sad that if we’re called short I don’t feel confident in scoring on 3rd and 4th down and an inch
  2. Brady says the playcalling is much different than we’ve seen but I’m still seeing very similar plays like bubble screens, they’re just working. Maybe the blocking schemes are different. also funny that the Packers using all their TOs because they know if they get the ball back with any time left they can score
  3. This is the worst team ever
  4. Sweet, personal foul penalty completely erases the terrible field position the Bears gave the Packers. Great work
  5. Lmao all the hits on Fields and Caleb that weren’t called, can’t believe that one was. It’s not a horrible call but I’ve seen much worse not get called
  6. Given how much excitement there was about this season, I can’t believe I’m already in “half watch game in the background while I do chores” mode
  7. Bedard is on pace for 14 goals and 60 total points this year. That seems like a concerning pace
  8. poor guy…made it 3 whole games before suffering a 2+ month injury (including the 3 weeks he’s already missed). Guy is just made of glass
  9. Well that was an interesting match. Still have not seen anything particularly impressive from the US under Poch but a CONCACAF away win in a competitive match will always be welcomed. You kinda of see stretches where the US player how I imagined a Poch coached USMNT would look but for long enough periods.
  10. Thought this was interesting from Reddit re: Players wanting Bagent over Caleb. Seems very plausible knowing Bagent Sr’s personality and Chicago media’s love for reporting unfounded rumors. This just makes a ton of sense so I’m hoping it’s right. As much as Caleb has struggled in recent weeks it just doesn’t make a ton of sense for vets to be demanding Bagent start. And I do absolutely remember the rumors last year about the players and Getsy wanting Bagent over Fields
  11. I'm actually happy the players are speaking out and not hiding behind anonymous reports, etc. Let it all out there and lets try to reboot this thing and salvage the season. I know they almost certainly won't but it's still all there right in front of us... the injured line is probably the biggest impediment to getting our horsefeathers together at this point.
  12. On top of all the other ways the Bears look like a horsefeathers show, this is just another thing to throw on the pile. I get that most of the people that evaluate these things are independent but still not a great look.
  13. At this point its pretty much expected mid-week news: Man I really hope he can recover fully for the sake of his own long term well-being
  14. I found this very sketchy unverified report. Reading the article, the writer seems very anti-Caleb and wouldn't be surprised if they were a Fields truther. https://www.bearsinsider.com/has-caleb-williams-lost-his-bears-teammates/#google_vignette
  15. imagine being so unwanted that your team is desperate for healthy offensively linemen and still release you.
  16. Where are the reports about Caleb not putting the work in? I hadn't seen that yet
  17. this is how bad it's gotten. We have a Packers fan trying to talk us off the ledge and trying to convince us that the Bears have a chance even though we know they don't
  18. It is kind of funny to imagine how things would change should the Bears manage to win on Sunday. Given how desperate we are to beat the Packers, how badly the coaching staff needs a win, etc. It could have just as much of a morale boost as the hail mary was a blow to morale.
  19. No just 8 outs away (albeit with a 1 run lead, not 3 like in 2003)
  20. I wasn't old enough to remember 1984 so that doesn't sting for me as much, but looking back on it, definitely seems like a painful situation especially with the Cubs tying it in Game 4 late and the Padres getting the walk-off HR by Garvey, then the Durham grounder with a lead in the 7th inning. I always rationalized that we would have been waxed by the Tigers anyways.
  21. Also don’t forget this glaring red flag from this spring:
  22. It's just weird that he signed a giant extension right in the middle of that. I mean, yes if someone is throwing big guaranteed money at him, it's not like he's going to just refuse to sign it. He'll take the guaranteed money and then put up a fuss in the future if he decides he doesn't want to be here anymore. But he seemed pretty on board with everything at the time he signed the extension at least.
  23. This guy is a rando with 800 followers (almost as many as me!), but he was reporting pretty confidently that Waldron was out yesterday evening so I'm interested to read his story about the timeline based on what he might know. Of course the whole thing could be BS but I'm willing to give him a shot.
  24. Somewhat disagree. All 5 teams suck in part for reasons that can trace back to ownership. For different reasons maybe, but the problem is the owners. They all suck.
