    You won't hate him as much as you think. It will be hard to focus your hate on one individual player so you will just hate Soler, Bryant, Russell, Rizzo and Schwarber as a collective group. Have a feeling he or Soler will be my Jim Edmonds. Edmonds was hated as much for being a weirdo as he was for killing the Cubs. Bryant and Soler are cool dudes. Or maybe I'm being heavily biased right now.

    I like his moxie. UK tries to punk everyone they play (and usually succeeds.) he's giving it right back, and it's bothered the UK guys some. That's fine but he got ejected for a flagrant 2 in their last game as well.

    Twitter bitching about Dayton playing 3 home games. I agree it's a little odd for an 11 seed but with the NCAA trying to cut back on early round travel it's gonna happen occasionally. In 2013 Cal played in San Jose as a 12 seed and I don't remember an uproar when they won their first game. I think it's magnified because Dayton played at home against Boise but what was anyone supposed to do about that (besides move it from Dayton)? Sucks that this is the narrative instead of talking about a team with 7 scholarship players, no one over 6-6 and playing their 5th game in 9 days.

    It's sad. I follow Everton closer than any other Europe team and its been terrible to see him fail. At least most of the fans respect him enough to not completely turn on him, and place most of the blame on Roberto Martinez.

    Apparently the NCAA Head of Officiating claims the ball could have gone in. I can't believe they allowed a tournament game to be decided on a very questionable goaltend of a 3 point shot.

    I think I remember glancing at the bottom line as SMU was bringing it up on their last possession and saw that they had several (I think 4) timeouts left. Perhaps they were trying to catch UCLA off guard because it seemed like a lot of guys were expecting a replay. They still probably should have called a TO once they brought it up and UCLA was in position.

    This is why I'm beginning to hate brackets. I fill out my bracket and then suddenly one of my elite 8 teams is in a close game and I'm rooting for them to lose.

    Moving the Bean to directly behind the scoreboard is a dubious decision as well.

    He's basically saying that getting an extra year of control isn't a "result" because reasons. well, you can make a pretty good case that if it makes the difference between a playoff spot in 2015 and not, the playoff result is a better result than the extra year result. the problem is you have no way of knowing if that very unlikely scenario is going to play out ahead of time so you can't make a decision based on it happening. It just seems like it would even be tricky to quantify whether or not one player took a team to the playoffs. Between that and, like you said, how unlikely it is that that would be the case, it seems like such a silly thing to get worked up over. definitely. it'd have to be a clear cut scenario where they barely made the playoffs and bryant was basically mike trout. and Olt sucked terribly the first 2 weeks of the season.

    And if we play decently well we can earn home ice in that series. We have 3 games in hand and only 4 points behind if the tiebreaker is H2H we have that as well.

    I remember there being some outcry with Evan Longoria in 2008 but I think he quickly signed a contract to eat up his arb years so the outcry went away quickly.

    I'm glad Bryant is taking the high road publicly and not letting Boras corrupt his mind. It's kind of a shitty situation for him to be in the middle of, especially with all the drama in the media. But you have to put part of the blame on the PA for agreeing to it. The "loophole" had been exploited multiple times already when the last CBA was agreed to a few years ago. The Cubs are playing within the rules, and there's always a very slight risk that they are taking that the player is not put off by this and heads elsewhere when he finally becomes a FA.

    If I didn't listen to it, I'd have nothing to bitch about. Almost all of the music radio stations suck in Chicago, I don't have XM, and my car is from 2010, right before USB ports became the norm in cars. So basically its either sports radio, NPR or being forced to talk to my wife.
