  1. I have no idea what to make of this team. They could win the Cup or they could get swept in the first round. Kane should win the Hart because of how terrible the offense is without him.
  2. Bryant has now driven in half as many runs as the Cubs have scored this year. RBI single and stolen base
  3. He would be great if the point of hockey was to turn the puck over in your own zone.
  4. I didn't realize how close they were. This is something that could effect him all year. Sorry to tie a tragic event to its effect on baseball, but its just a stray thought I had. Condolances to Javy and his family.
  5. 1) a high shoulder isn't in the same universe as an elbow to the head 2) I bet you 8 million imaginary internet dollars that Sedin would reference something Keith did before that as his excuse for being a dirty little tool. 3) Two wrongs still don't make a right The main thing I didn't like about that incident is Keith's taunting afterwards, especially because its an obvious head injury. That said, I'm sure taunting like this happens all the time, even from guys you would generally consider "good guys", but this one just happened to be caught by a mic.
  6. So I believe if the Flames beat the Kings in regulation tonight, LA is out. If the Kings gain 1 point today, then the Jets need 1 point to eliminate them (because the Jets would lose the tiebreaker to LA)
  7. Matt Szczur of course
  8. That team is full of so many tools. Reaves, Jackman, Ott, their fat ass coach has them burned out by the playoffs every year. I think if they finish first Minnesota will knock them out so Reaves can wait another year for his revenge. Funny thing is they probably think we have so many tools between Seabrook, Shaw, Keith, Carcillo, etc
  9. What was the reason for starting Wood? I figured with all the off days and rainouts the Cubs would take the opportunity to skip their 5th starter. Everyone would still have at least an extra day or two of rest.
  10. So mad there's another off day tomorrow. Oh well, hopefully the bats come alive in Colorado. Guessing it will be Hammel on Friday, Hendricks on Saturday and maybe Lester on Sunday? Or will they start Wood and give Lester the extra day of rest?
  11. 1 down, at least 89 to go! Also Fowler catches fly balls oddly.
  12. Everytime I see the camera pan over wrigley field and see the video board, it looks like it'sa rendering.
  13. When will the Cubs score their first run? I'm voting for a 2 spot in the 6th today
  14. lol Jake takes 3 straight pitches right down the middle. But at least he's trying to get his pitch count up
  15. This is probably a weird question but since I can't get to a TV at the moment what do the ABC graphics look like?
  16. At least this one can get righties out but not lefties
  17. And to think a week ago it was breathless tweets with pictures of the video boards being put up. What a difference a week makes.
  18. I don't know how I read Timmo as Trevor Van Riemsdyk and whoops I missed the wrist injury news.
  19. Yup, he either takes a dumb ass penalty that resulted in the Blues first goal or he turns the puck over at the blue line resulting in a goal(Vancouver). This has been going on all year. Hopefully Timmo is back soon and in the playoffs by some miracle Rozsival is watching from the press box. You really think Q is going to insert a rookie that has missed 85% of the season back into the lineup for the playoffs?
  20. Yup, it was just a bad luck game offensively. Encouraging ABs, some hard hit balls that would have gone out 75% of the games at Wrigley. Just one of those games that if it happened in mid-May no one would think twice about. On to the next one!
  21. Not really. He had his best season last year and I don't think he threw to 1st once all season. It's just something you have to work around. I'm more concerned about Lester's adjustment to actually having to field in the NL instead of having a designated fielder in the AL (right ESPN?)
