    Wow I thought we'd go the entire season without losing a series to a bad team

    why? Because in a game that doesn't have as many anymore, he's supposed to be a big-time home run hitter. And to do that, you need to actually eventually hit a home run. Of course he will do it, but you want to see at least one. It's been more than 60 plate appearances and 55 at-bats. Again it's strange but there is like nothing I'm worried about less than Kris Bryant's ability to hit for power.

    Not worried about the Cardinals. Bryant's lack of HRs is unusual but he's going through an adjustment period right now. When he was red hot after getting called up he hit 2-3 balls that would have been HRs in parks not named PNC. Obviously you want the win a series against a scuffling team but that's baseball. Sometimes you win a series against a great team, sometimes you lose a series against a bad team. Not going to worry as long as we are at least hovering around .500 into July and our top guys are getting ABs and incrementally improving.

    Soler has had some better ABs lately and obviously good contact on that one

    Draft grades are don't mean a ton but everyone I see has graded the Bears draft favorably so I guess that's good. They needed help everywhere so the positions don't matter...seems like they got BPA on most picks. A little surprised they didn't pick up a QB...wondering if they are planning to stick with Cutler for awhile or if not what their long term plan is.

    How many professional ABs has he had since leaving Cuba? How long was he not playing baseball between leaving Cuba and playing for the Cubs? He probably has some development left to do

    His SLG is lower than his OBP now He will snap out of it, but definitely scuffling a bit. Has been 8 games since his last XBH. the great news about Bryant is that even when he's slumping he can get on base (.324 OBP his last 8 games despite hitting .172 (5-29). If that's slumping Bryant, I can't wait to see red hot Bryant.

    Hawks win! Crazy that they've allowed 3 goals in a period 5 different times in 7 postseason games but are 5-2 overall.
