  1. this is going to OT, better question is why Lynch didnt stop at the 1. 4 plays to score a TD, they would have and run down some time When you've got the TD, you don't pass it up if you're down. Too many weird things could happen. Exactly. You can't mess around with a fumbled snap, or an actual fumble. Plus the Seahawks have one of the best secondaries and overall defenses in the league. They should have all the confidence in the world that they would hold GB
  2. Glad they scored but 1:25 and 3 TOs for a FG is like child's play for Rodgers
  3. Ugh I don't want 2 weeks of hearing about the Packers and Patriots
  4. Seattle is being killed in every way possible. Crushing TOs, inexcusable penalties to keep drives alive, terrible offense, defense getting gashed on the ground, terrible special teams, terrible QB play.
  5. Ugh not that Michigan was going anywhere except maybe NIT but Caris Levert is out for the season with a foot injury.
  6. I can't wait until GB wins the super bowl so I can make the most epic rant about this being the worst football season a fan could ever possibly experience in all 3 phases (teams I root for, teams I root against, fantasy football)
  7. Yeah you really needed to go for it on 4th down there GB. 3 points is not going to cut it. IMO terrible decision by McCarthy
  8. From some article by Issacson but I've seen this a couple of times since Fox was hired. I don't know maybe I'm just looking back on the Lovie era with rose colored glasses but I feel like his era was mostly defined by order and compatibility, and in his own way discipline within the team (yes he was player friendly and didn't hold guys accountable in the media but the behind the scenes impression I got is that the players were well policed behind closed doors and none of the locker room hinjiks we saw last year happened under lovie.) As for stability in coaching staff, maybe not so much with all the coordinates coming in and out of Halas Hall but I don't see how you can tell it will be this way with Fox either. Anyways I thought it was weird that people are remembering the last decade like this.
  9. Yes, but he was late this is so weird to me. jacque had two solid years with the cubs but i never felt like he was particularly loved by fans. do they always bring random weirdos to the convention? Not only was he not a fan favorite, but he was vocal about the [expletive], racist/racial treatment he got from some fans. I think he later downplayed that, but still, definitely not someone I'd expect to see back. And it was always a little odd how his career just stopped liked it did. Guess he just completely broke down. I think Todd Walker had an even stranger end to his career. First of all he was like an .800 OPS 2B with the Red Sox (although that meant less back then and his defense left a lot to be desired), accepted a backup role with the Cubs, had 2 .820 OPS years then got traded to SD and when his contract expired he just left the game. Granted he was terrible his year in SD but He was worth 2-3 offensive wins per year in 350-400 PAs with the Cubs. I feel like he could have gotten a contract somewhere as a backup or DH, at the very least a spring invite but he just decided he was done.
  10. Nope Blackhawks are a mediocre 6-6 in their last 12 games. Yuck Hawks are 2 points away from falling into a Wild Card spot in the West. No worries about not making it of course (still 9 points up on a spot) but blah.
  11. Waiting 5 days for a Hawks game sucks. Losing that game sucks even more. Tie this up Hawks
  12. Yeah we needed this one considering we have Hawks, @ Cavs, Spurs and @ Mavs in our next 4. The Hawks have been obliterating everyone in their path. They just won by 21 in Toronto and have won 31 of their last 35. Would be nice to play a good game tomorrow and maybe even win
  13. It isn't a Cubs convention until Jacque Jones makes an appearance.
  14. So...I'm assuming Fox being hired increases the chances of Cutler sticking around, am I correct? I really hope so, for all his faults I love him.
  15. Maybe I missed this mentioned somewhere else, but he's saying Pace flew out to Denver to meet face to face yesterday/today and seal the deal? Yep. It was widely reported he was in Denver last night. Gotcha, I must have missed that, my bad.

  17. Another guy claiming its done:
  18. Kind of ridiculous. Eh...plenty of factors can affect timelines on a project this large. I'm sure they'd much prefer to have the bleachers done. At least work is actually happening... True but I wonder if they could have held some stuff back a year in exchange for a project with more room for error. It's not the end of the world though, although it might affect the bottom line a little.
  19. Kind of ridiculous.
  20. He also said it wasn't as bad as some of the ankle injuries he's had in the past. And he would know since it seems like he has an ankle injury every other week
  21. [expletive] you, Kubiak. Heh, you're mad at him for? It's his dream job, he knew at the same time the Bears were interested in him that Fox was going to be canned. With all the circumstances surrounding it, it's obvious. I don't necessarily blame him if he looked at the Bears (and other) coaching situations and didn't like what he saw.
  22. Love it...go out and prove it!
  23. I am assuming the story blew up based on his tweet. I don't understand why people would assume that he was going pro just based off that tweet.
  24. In the last 30 years at least, I think only once(1999) a team lower than a #5 seed made the NBA finals. I think the Rockets won the title as a 6 seed in 1995 but yeah overall the point is there are only like 4 teams that can win the title every year, sometimes less
