  1. Folwer CF Schwarber C Bryant LF Rizzo 1B Soler RF Castro 2B Javy 3B Russell SS I love that someone's favorite lineup involves leaving out a 3 win (Coghlan) and 2 win (Montero) player and it's perfectly reasonable.
  2. Sexy lineup. Was kind of hoping Soler would get a start today but can't complain with who is actually starting
  3. I went to go look up this dudes stats so I googled "Craft Brewers" and realized that his name is perfect for Milwaukee. Edit: Actually I have no idea who this is referring to, can't find any "Craft" on the Brewers 40 man so I'm probably an idiot who missed the joke?
  4. Was going to make a sarcastic comment but I'll instead just point out that your choices are all in late October.
  5. Technically 9-3 would put us 0.5 GB 2008 as they only played 161 games
  6. Cubs have now matched the 2003 Cubs with 88 wins. 1 more and we reach 2004, 2 more and we reach 1998
  7. Actually the correct answer is "Szczur and Ross"
  8. By hitting a rally killing grand slam. Pity on the Goforth family due to IMBs many years of quality posting on NSBB
  9. Close C - Montero, Ross 1B - Rizzo, LaStella 2B - Castro, Coghlan SS - Russell, Herrera 3B - Bryant, Baez LF - Schwarber, Denorfia CF - Fowler, Jackson RF - Soler, Szczur Just for fun, how Id construct the second lineup LaStella Jackson Coghlan Baez Denorfia Szczur Herrera Ross pitcher you aren't splitting them up right, dufus. swap Soler and Coghlan? I had Coghlan in the main lineup originally but for positional purposes I needed an extra MIF for the 2nd team If you're trying to make them both above average, you need to distribute the talent between the two Yeah I finally caught that. My bad. I like the other lineups that were posted
  10. Hmmmm... What I came up with asap CF Fowler RF Soler 1B Rizzo SS Baez C Montero 2B Castro 3B LaStella LF Denorfia CF Jackson LF Schwarber 2B Coghlan 3B Bryant 1B Vogelbach SS Russell RF Szczur C Ross Ok I misread the question. I took it as "could a lineup of our bench players be league average" my bad. Good lineup
  11. I'm convinced it is even if it's not
  12. Close C - Montero, Ross 1B - Rizzo, LaStella 2B - Castro, Coghlan SS - Russell, Herrera 3B - Bryant, Baez LF - Schwarber, Denorfia CF - Fowler, Jackson RF - Soler, Szczur Just for fun, how Id construct the second lineup LaStella Jackson Coghlan Baez Denorfia Szczur Herrera Ross pitcher you aren't splitting them up right, dufus. swap Soler and Coghlan? 13. Close C - Montero, Ross 1B - Rizzo, LaStella 2B - Castro, Coghlan SS - Russell, Herrera 3B - Bryant, Baez LF - Schwarber, Denorfia CF - Fowler, Jackson RF - Soler, Szczur
  14. Ok at this point bring Mendy up, I feel like he will magically turn into a stud overnight
  15. This turned into the best game ever
  16. What if none of the prospects were busts? (Besides Mendy)
  17. Seriously we might have two 2014 top 10 prospects (did Soler ever get that high?) chilling on the bench for a playoff game
  18. OH OK NOW SOLER DECIDED TO BE AWESOME! Castro then Soler. Deepest team ever
  19. I think it's really close that his hand may have brushed the glove right before hitting the base. Right there was no clear look. My only fear was them making a judgement call and not requiring indisputable evidence.
  20. Definitely safe but if they were doing it by the book it is close to "not enough evidence to overturn".
  21. I've been waiting 12 years to have another playoff "moment" anywhere close to this. In 2007 pretty much the only even mildly exciting moments were Soto's HR and a Theriot game tying IF single. In 2008 you are pretty much limited to DeRosa's HR as I believe the Cubs trailed in every inning since the 5th inning of game 1
  22. Keep hitting balls fairly well at people. I can't remember more then a couple of weakly hit outs tonight (other than Ks)
  23. I would have taken it even if I knew that meant the Seahawks are 0-2. Hate those bitches
