So 11 runs score in just short of 6 games. Looking at the number of walks taken in those 6 games: 3, 1, 3, 3, 3, 1 (so far) For a team leading the majors in walks, that seems low
Look at you with your optimism! And Rondon Fan was negatively conditioned there. The one time he's positive Schwarber strikes out. Back to complete and utterly unrelenting negativity
The wind effect has been negligible the last 2 nights. There was only like 2-3 games this home stand where the wind was a significant factor against the hitters. They are just struggling right now. They will get it together before next week It's concerning that the offense sucked the first 3 months with the wind blowing in, got hot with the wind blowing out, and is struggling again with the wind blowing in. Those thoughts crossed my mind but I definitely think it was more about a bunch of rookies adjusting to the major league game than the weather. Weather probably had some effect but not enough to turn a good offense into [expletive] overnight.

They will get it together before next week it's called facing cole, liriano, burnett, and an on point yordano. Yeah but the Cubs can and should be able to occasionally have more success off those guys than they had last week. There are no Cravy's in the playoffs
Didn't the Cubs and Mets go into extras tied and 0 this year? Almost positive they did not that i can remember Looked it up..July 1st the Cubs won 2-0 in 11 innings

Because AL fans always flock to Wrigley when they play us in interleague games. Schedule comes out; see Wrigley; circle the date. Err you realize this is a makeup game right? lol I think the White sox thing is most logical. Possibly also royals fans who bought tickets to the game rained out and decided to come back for the game why does it matter that it's a makeup game? the date has been known for months For one, it's an isolated game instead of an entire series. Many fans go to multiple games of a series when they travel. But more importantly the originally scheduled games came, I believe, over Memorial Day weekend, this game is on a Monday while school is in session.
I really don't think it's worth worrying about. The Cubs lead MLB in runs in September (at least up until a few days ago - haven't checked since). They'll either have a good or bad day in the WC game. It's that simple. After that anything is possible. This is his thing. Just let him do it. You've caused me to not want to actually look up the numbers and instead ask others to

Not super concerned, was mostly checking to see if my observations were correct and don't feel like looking up last 7/last 14 splits
List of Cubs slumping going into the final week: Fowler Schwarber Rizzo Soler Russell Coghlan Jackson List of Cubs hitting well: Bryant Castro Neither: Baez Montero Does this sound about right?
