Probably to his advantage that he only saw the Cardinals once, and it was 5 months ago. Yes but that's still one more time than the Cubs have seen Garcia this year.
Well I mean on the east coast the Cubs game was on from 6:30-9:30 and the mets/Dodgers drom 9:30-12:30 so at least for game 1, the Cubs game was more "primetime" than the Mets/dodgers
Has anyone posted how Hendricks has done against the Cardinals this year? Edit: somehow he only managed to face them once this year, in STL in early May. He gave up 4 ER in 5 IP. But he did face them 3 times last year, 2 really good starts and one ok one
Man I am probably feeling too confident but after watching OSU and MSU struggle and UM shutting everyone out, I don't see why we can't beat them both at the big house. Good get past NU as well today of course.
Yeah Lester it's on you. Why didn't you homer to give yourself run support or tell Strop not to give up a 2 run bomb? I know what he's trying to do but come on no one faults you for losing yesterday.
One of the many things I love about this is saying that we didn't say a thing about Arrietas strike zone the other night when we consistently talked about how bad it was but we will take it because both sides are getting it and we're winning. And some of you really wanted to ban registrations during this series? This stuff is pure entertainment.
Rizzo and Starlin are both equally bad at the plate. Can't win with them doing nothing, just not going to happen. Well Bryant is only doing bad because for some strange reason he turns into a below average player on the road. Not sure what Rizzos excuse is. He was a near 1.000 OPS player in the first half and .830 OPS player in the second half.
Rough. I wasn't necessarily certain of victory tonight but I really didn't expect to be completely shut down offensively. Rough loss but the best thing about baseball is today is another day. This team is different than 07-08 and will not roll over. I am calling W tomorrow
