Don't believe the David hype. i don't even understand the sentimental castro love faction. he was REALLY bad for a couple of years, he never had the type of game most of us like (he didn't walk OR dong...he was basically really good at being a slappy hitter with an occasional hint of pop), he loved to do embarrassing things in the field (and none of what i said takes away from the fact that at other times he was a pretty good young player too), oh, and there was that whole might be a rapist thing that nobody seems to care about anymore. Ignoring the rapist thing as much as I can, as well as the fact that people get shot in his vicinity, there are a couple of reasons why I love him. 1) he came up during a period when the Cubs could not really produce position players from their system, it was awesome to see us have a young guy with skies the limit potential 2) hitting a 3 run bomb in his first ab, endearing moment 3) he was really the only thing to be mildly excited about for a couple of years. He dealt with a lot of horsefeathers years here and didn't complain like others *cough*Samardzija*cough* 4) he just seemed like a fun loving guy overall, his teammates seemed to like him 5) he created the helmet rub which was awesome 6) the clapping song
