I wish I could see a K Zone for that performance. I want to know if he was getting squeezed or what as I was at the game. I still partially blame Geo for not catching the foul tip 1-2 pitches before the grand slam.
He's doing a terrible terrible job of keeping the voice up, the more he talks the less he sounds like the bastardized version of Harry that Ferrell did so well. For shame Demp, I used to like you when you were ok at pitching.
I think Dempster is going to lose his mind and start believing he really is Harry Caray. We will see him stumbling around Wrigleyville on a Saturday night with this idiot getup going 'HEY! CUBS WIN!' and everyone will cross the street to avoid walking near the weirdo.
lol that feels like the first hit Matt Szczur has had since May Ah man, you forget about his huge leadoff double in the 8th on Sunday that led to him scoring the winning run on KB's single?
a) It wasn't thrown to a great spot but it was a rocket b) we have very very low expectations in terms of shutting down the run game Like Len said, that was the first baserunner that has been thrown out with Hendricks on the mound this year so obviously he did something right there.
3 pitches in the strike zone in that AB, yet Desmond walks on a 3-1 count Won't complain though because Javy should have struck out a couple pitches before his RBI single in the previous inning according to the Cubs Strike Zone twitter thing.
Yeah just thought it was weird that he went on a rehab assignment a week ago, he was still a possibility to play in the ASG as recently as saturday, and the Cubs were careful to say that there was no setback.
Imaginary injury putting Cahill on the DL? Good thing about pushing Jake and Lester to next week is you can go 4 more games before having to make a roster decision with Ross coming off the concussion DL, although its almost certainly Kawasaki going back to Iowa. Edit: Nevermind i see that Ross was activated as well and Kawaski optioned. I guess you can't let guys hang out too long on the Concussion DL
