I less prefer Javy hitting here, vs a RHP. Also pulling Jake with less than 90 pitches in a tie game. I'd let him take the AB, he's hitting like .290 -

Phew. Jake a little less efficient after the 4th inning but still getting results. Guessing he will be allowed to lead off this inning and pitch the 8th

So we've had RISP in 5 of the 6 innings, 4 of those times with less than 2 outs and we've scored 1 run and that was because of a passed ball and error. Baseball is a cruel sport sometimes

.771 OPS with RISP, .776 with bases empty, but yes, recently I get the same impression. You'll never guess who leads the league in OPS with RISP. I meant tonight but thanks for the reality check :lol:

My guess is a) with Jake on deck they'll just walk him and b) joe doesn't want to use him and lose his potential defense later on

Thor better hope he pitches and extremely efficient inning here for that to happen Nah. They'll let him go 130 Yes but if the Mets got any sort of rally in the 7th his spot would come up in the order (batting 5th) and they'd likely yank him anyways

So this is one of those things where it sucks to lose but given what I've seen so far it wouldn't be overly upsetting. Hit Thor really well and Jake has looked great
