  1. If that leads to the game being tied...
  2. It will be interesting to see if Lackey goes out of his way to praise Javy post game or will he just go after Zobrist for allowing the 1 run to score
  3. Hey guess what? One more clean inning from Lackey and we are in Strop, Rondon, Chapman territory
  4. 11 pitch inning but still on pace to surpass 100 pitches sometime in the 6th
  5. Dammit willy. Even if you didn't get the run home I would have preferred we kept racking up that pitch count with another batter
  6. At least he's at 39 thru 2. Also 9 batters no Ks
  7. What the horsefeathers was that strike 1??
  8. Damn just missed it. I'll take the double and the rim though!
  9. Ross please convince Lackey to retire with you
  10. [tweet] [/tweet] This is insane. 41 road games, 17 on west coast and only 22 home games left For comparison's sake the Cubs have 34 home games left, 28 road games, and 7 on the west coast
  11. If you're going to make a cutting joke it better be clever or you won't be noticed amongst the crowd of meatballs throwing out the same low quality ish
  12. wtf Why's that weird (assuming truth)? Not weird, but when you hear of a player getting carted off the field during practice your first thought isn't 'he's got the flu' It's a good wtf
  13. He was sick. No injury. wtf
  14. He's right but haha Hawk [tweet] [/tweet]
  15. I have a good feeling about him today, I have no idea why.
  16. Can't read the rest because its Insider but... http://espn.go.com/blog/buster-olney/insider/post?id=13679
  17. I wasn't expecting much out of Floyd this year, maybe a Mark Anderson type impact where he dominates when played situationally. But obviously the big loss if its a bad injury is that he loses a year of development for a guy that needs it. That said, because we're talking about John Fox, I doubt we will get a true indication of whats wrong with him anytime soon.
  18. Holy hell I didn't look up his deal before posting but I never assumed he would be under contract for 4 more seasons after this one. Ok that changes my mind a bit. Also, Wade Davis isn't better than Chapman. Geez I dont know they are pretty close over the last 3 years although Davis' numbers have declined slightly each year in that time frame. His xFIP is a little jarring this year compared to Chapman. They are close enough that the extra year of control is why Davis should have more value than Chapman
  19. Haha, well at least we still have Kevin White as a 1st rounder this year (hopefully)
  20. I have to admit, after 2014 I gave up on him as a potential useful player in the future (shocking that I would be pessimistic about something I know, but I wasnt alone), and it has taken me a long time to feel fully comfortable with him but I am completely on board now. I never would have imagined he would be a 3 win player this year (at 1.9 on FG, 2.2 on BR currently). Obviously he has his flaws, he's never going to walk a bunch, he's always going to have those ABs where he is overmatched from the start and swinging at junk, but overall he is a damn good player and hopefully will get even better. He still only has 675 major league PAs.
  21. For our team I would just rather have the rental. Ian Kennedy getting paid 16 million still in 2020 when he's not very good in 2016 doesn't seem fun. Holy hell I didn't look up his deal before posting but I never assumed he would be under contract for 4 more seasons after this one. Ok that changes my mind a bit.
