horsefeathers man you are a ball away from bases loaded 0 outs, let him swing away and maybe foul off a few pitches looking for ball 4. Don't give them a horsefeathering out. I'm going on record that no matter the result i am not a fan of this decision. -

In like 3 innings for the Cubs. Yes, if they had given up the 3 runs or whatever they've given up in 30 innings, their ERA would be around 1. That's how it works. Yes and that would probably be a large enough sample to say that those guys are pretty good. 3 innings is not.

Any reliever that allows a run is useless. ill admit I have a short rope for Smith because I didn't like the addition. That said I'm sure Bosio is working with him to see if he can get him back to his 2013-2014 stuff and it would take multiple appearances to see if he's effective.

yeah hard to be too mad other than the fact that if we lose this was a very winnable game and the offense struggled against a below average pitcher.

Wow. Has it really been that long? That needs to change. I believe the last one was Addison's grand slam in the 8th inning of the 3rd White Sox game. So 6 full games, and one half game today.

You know what would be cool? If we did one of those things where a Cubs batted ball ends up over the fence in fair territory. I believe we have used an euphemism for a male appendage to describe this in the past but its been so long... if I'm not mistaken its been 7 games since we've done this.

I think the Cubs are doing this on purpose because they don't like Lackey either.

Lackey is going to flip his horsefeathers if he hits a leadoff double and the top of the Cubs order couldn't even get him to 3rd base.
