    Indeed great outing and much needed. Like I said I think he was struggling with command early, I think he took a little velo off the fastball and got it under control which is why it was only a 4K effort. 8 IP 0 ER 3 H and 1 BB is great to see

    Jake at 94 through 7 however if I were Joe I'd give Rondon and Chapman each innings here. I don't believe either has pitched since Tuesday and even if you have to use them again tomorrow there is an off day Monday. Plus Jake can always use the rest

    Funny observation but when joe runs out this lineup, the starting pitcher has to basically face the NL All Star starting lineup until you get to the 6th hitter

    Bryant needs to get out of this slump Edit: Went to check my work, while he's definitely not locked in he's not in a horrific slump. He is striking out in roughly 35% of his ABs since the ASB though

    Bears have been dropping like flies so far

    It drives me nuts that as soon as NFL Training camp starts 670 and 1000 turn to 80% Bears talk and 20% everything else. I mean I'm sure they get more overall listeners talking Bears but sucks to have a 30 min drive on a Saturday morning and not hear one word about the Cubs. I mean we are still 5 days away from the first pointless preseason game. I'm a Bears fan that likes to hear about the Bears in general but I don't give 2 shits until the 3rd preseason game.

    Believe it was 47-20 after sweeping the Pirates at WrIgley. Then we immediately started our swoon by getting swept by STL
