  1. That's not how it works. D'oh I thought it was an issue with taking images hosted off of Getty, but it dawns on me that I'm a moron and its Getty owned images. Well at least they're less likely to find the abuse of the image if its hosted on another site. Fine I'll take it down....this was the image http://i.imgur.com/Lz5E8nY.png
  2. EDIT: REMOVED GETTY IMAGE http://i.imgur.com/Lz5E8nY.png
  3. TREE I need a gam thread I want to reminisce about how much I used to hate the Astros and all their douchy players
  4. They'd have Wainwright. They should send out Martinez. That's a good point. All the logic in the world would suggest throwing Martinez in the WC game, but Matheny will go with the grizzled veteran that he's been to war with as a player, and Wainwright will somehow throw a gem and we will have to face Martinez, the only Cardinal pitcher that even comes close to scaring me, up to 2 times
  5. i never thought i'd hate tommy pham less than i did The Cardinals seek out pond scum to fill out their roster, but occasionally an OK guy is acquired by mistake. Just like sometimes their pond scum leaks onto other good guy rosters like ours.
  6. But the Cubs haven't even played the hardest part of their schedule yet
  7. they weren't that far from 10-6 last season. the problem is Fox's game management late and close. I remember in the first Detroit game, Detroit was driving and Fox wasn't calling timeouts when it became clear that the clock wasn't really going to help them. Then Ratliff went down with a fake injury to stop the clock, and Fox hits the roof telling him to get up. The next week is when Ratliff had his episode and he never played another down for the Bears. They were very far from 10-6 and fox is still the coach. I mean they weren't that far in that they had 5-6 losses by less than a score but of course to win 4 extra games you would have had to go like 9-2 in close games since 5 of their 6 wins were also by less than a score. That seems quite improbable. yes they probably should have won the Minnesota (at soldier), SF and Washington games, but they also probably should have lost the Oakland, KC and San Diego games.
  8. Baseball is not football. There is no such thing as a 4 year rebuild in football.
  9. I thought you were a season ticket holder? hah i wish. I was on the waiting list and was called in 2013 but declined to buy. Oh well.
  10. That's awesome....hope he goes back in the booth though when he's done. I loved hearing him during Copa America
  11. Drew Magary has the Bears winning 10 and the first wild card round in his jambaroo [tweet]https://twitter.com/drewmagary/status/773967376199155712[/tweet] I was just about to post that. Hell yeah Drew
  12. This site was built for me: http://nflpickwatch.com/ Every NFL pick they can find on the internet 58 out of 59 "experts" pick the Texans this week. Bless you Chris Chase of FoxSports.com

  14. Cubs had 2 total baserunners after the 1st inning against mostly shitty pitching. Enjoy the day off and try again Friday I guess
  15. Thank you Joe Smith for not tricking Maddon to keeping you on the playoff roster
  16. Well that's probably game giving the Cubs offense tonight Wanted to get to 90 before 50 losses. Oh well
  17. Well at least Dex is making me less depressed about not resigning him after this season. Don't get me wrong I'd like to have him back but I'd want him back a lot more if he didn't have a .670 OPS in the 2nd half of the season.
  18. I don't think he will be. They will keep 11 and they will be Arrieta, Lester, Hendricks, Lackey, Chapman(L), Rondon ®, Strop®, Grimm ®, Edwards ®, Wood (L), Montgomery (L) Joe will keep Wood and Montgomery because his 3 primary setup men are all righties and other than Chapman who is locked into closer regardless he doesn't have any lefties
  19. I like to just buy hard into gambler's fallacy on night's like tonight. Makes it more likely we're going to dong our way through October. Well guys like Fowler and Zobrist are due to play better. Contreras too most likely. Russell and even Bryant are in minislumps. I'd rather these guys be slumping now and putting it together in a month.
  20. Man our offense has been less than enjoyable to watch tonight save Rizzo
  21. They know they are allowed to hit the ball in the air right?
  22. Man how did they not score there? 2-0 to Russell, 3-1 to Coghlan
  23. I keep waiting for Dex to get hot again. Hopefully it happens before the season ends. His 2nd half numbers are very similar to his 1st half numbers last year with more OBP but less SLG
