Not sure how good the relievers in question are but the Guardians basically had the choice to face Dansby and Busch with a righty or a lefty and they chose the righty which is what I would prefer if I were the Cubs. Busch is 7th in baseball in wRC+ vs RHP this year. -

Yes in a vacuum a 3 run inning is always good. But with context it decidedly becomes less good. Doesn't mean I'm not encouraged by getting on base 6 straight times

It’s not a good half inning. We literally did not make an out at the plate and only scored 3 runs. dont get me wrong the 3 runs are nice but that doesn’t make the result of the inning acceptable

Cardinals just swept the Guardians, shutting them out in 2 games, so I'm sure they'll remain cold this week right?

It's Bowden but he said today that the Cubs are heavily involved everywhere in terms of trade talks and expects them to be the trade deadline winners for the NL Central (whatever that means).

It's kind of like the end of the 2018 season. The Cubs aren't free falling but it feels like it because the other teams won't lose. Every other team in the NL Central had a winning record in June except the Cubs, but the Cubs were still 13-13

It's probably the part where we had a 6.5 game lead 10 days ago and now its 1 game? I don't think people expected the Brewers to have the 3rd best record in the NL and Cardinals right behind them.

Even with the elite pitching, hitting really hasn’t been a giant issue tbh. Our season OPS is .774, but during this possibly about to be 11-13 stretch our team OPS is .750.

I always say the NL Central should always be so winnable in a division with 4 smaller market teams but here we are with the 2nd best record in the NL and there are 2 team right on our ass
