  1. That might have been gone if the wind wasn't blowing in yet again. Or if the CF tried a Peanut punch to jar the ball free. It's really weird that 2 years in a row we've gotten a significant percentage of games with the wind blowing in. Historically its split pretty evenly between out, in and crosswind.
  2. Couple of hard hit balls to end the inning. 108.1 and 109.2
  3. Damn, if Tucker doesn't bobble that, its a double play.
  4. Jed is on the broadcast and started by taking a moment to send a message to Ryno, praise him for all he’s meant for the Cubs, used a lot of past tense and ended it by saying something like “thank you for all you did for the Cubs organization” This comes after Ryno’s statement last week about cherishing time with his family and friends and Lester and Wood both wearing Ryno jerseys this weekend.
  5. Ugh Ryno is definitely on his last legs. So damn depressing
  6. Congrats to Turner for making the only batting out that inning.
  7. Just looking at last 30 days because it's easier but Busch has a .942 OPS and 162 wRC+ left handers over that span. That said its a 24 PA sample
  8. Since their 33-12 stretch began the Brewers have the best wRC+ against lefties in baseball. But the Yankees have the best wRC+ vs lefties for the entire season and Boyd and Shota both shut them down so
  9. Boggles my mind that the Cubs can play a 28-18 stretch and lose 5.5 games in the standings over that time.
  10. I really want to win tomorrow. 60-39 seems like a badass record, getting to 60 wins before 40 losses
  11. And lose the division to the Brewers by 15 games
  12. The Cubs are 20 games over .500 for the first time since the last day of the 2018 season.
  13. Wow that was a spectacular play to rob Busch
  14. So every 6 weeks or so Shaw just needs a week off to reboot
  15. I know he missed a month with injury but Shota's numbers (at least the basic ones like ERA and WHIP) are better than last year
  16. Good motivation for Shota here getting Pressly warming up
  17. Damn got the righties out but then got 2 straight weak contact singles ugh
  18. Got through most of the heart of the order a 3rd time too
  19. Keep it going. Can never score enough with the wind blowing out
  20. And Brujan has a .493 OPS vs RHP this year
  21. Probably because they were 6.5 games behind us when their run started it’s kind of like the end of 2018 again. The cubs (obviously) aren’t playing bad but the Brewers are unstoppable
  22. 3 hits and 0 runs in 8 innings so far tonight. The brewers are virtually unbeatable right now
  23. FYI the Brewers series starts a week from Monday. Cubs play at home vs KC and then on the South side next weekend before heading up to Milwaukee.
