Take a look at what K-Rod did for the Angels in the playoffs as a rookie and then get back to me. Guess who was on that coaching staff that made that gutsy call to bring up K-Rod? It's so weird that he was Scioscia's bench coach.

I..uh..what? Is this a mojo parody? or Derwood? I'M CONFUSED. Ughhhh now I am doubting my memory and I know that if I search "Edwards" and "Black" I'm going to get a lot of Corey. Was that not Mojo or Derwood? DID I MAKE THIS UP It was me...but it was only like 3 months after we acquired him.

I was fine with the talent given up for Hamels in a vacuum but if they insisted on a catcher, it would've required some B2B massaging. ETA: I also would've been fine with free James Shields.

oh, well, if even the prospects who become MVPs are/were terrible prospects, then i agree with your stance that we never actually traded anybody worth a damn before Well let's just make another dumbass LLF comment into how you're the bestest baseball fan in the world. People who are mad about trading prospects for Rich Harden in '08 are bad people. sure but you kinda deserve to be made fun of when you make dismissive jokes about the prospects hendry traded when he traded away chris archer and josh donaldson take your medicine, moneybags Archer wasn't a deadline deal. It was an oh [expletive] I'm gonna lose my job if we don't win this year move. Sneaky's playing the role of Pirates fan mad about trading Jose Bautista.

I know, right? Hendry would have got Joe Blanton and Johnny Gomes and only given up 3 of our top 10 prospects. I still curse Brendan Harris and Ray Sadler's names. you make a good point, Hendry really never traded any good prospects at the trade deadline changing subjects, who do you guys think will win AL MVP this year Josh Donaldson would've just cost us Kris Bryant. Oh, and he was [expletive] terrible for us the year we traded him, graded out as C+ by Sickels even after being promoted immediately and destroying High A the rest of the way with the A's.

Yes. On the high end you're talking about 20 innings over 7 days, 6 relievers is fine for that. Best I can see, Maddon took at least 7 relievers every postseason with the Rays.
