You can use your amnesty at any time on a player that was under contract when the CBA was signed. So they could amnesty Boozer at any point, but they still have to pay out that money. It just doesn't count against the cap. But if they amnesty him and some team under the cap puts in an offer of say 5 million, that team pays 5 million and we pick up the remainder, correct? Right. Boozer would almost certainly be claimed.

Was the amnesty clause a one-offseason thing? Could the Bulls amnesty Boozer, clear some additional space and sign Love to a max?

But what does it mean? Having a good 9-13 is nice, but come playoff time the fact that your worst players are better than other teams' worst players means basically nothing.

I know this will shock you guys, but I am not impressed. Beating the [expletive] out of terrible teams because Thibs plays Rose 40 minutes doesn't do anything for me. Point differential should mean something because an easy win shows your dominance more than a game you win by 1 in double OT. Point differential when it comes to the difference between a coasting 20 point win and a 40 point win should mean very little.

They were also all 3-3 in the division with each team going 1-1 against the others. Denver won the tiebreaker by going 4-4 in the common opponents (i.e. against the NFC North and AFC East) while the Raiders and Chargers were both 3-5. Hahaha the AFC West is such a joke. They were 2 games under .500, and that was while playing two of the better divisions as their out of division play.
