Yeah; it's the weird resolution (hopefully) to a weird situation that the poor guy got WAY too much horsefeathers over. Still plenty of meatballs that look at him as some kind of villain or figure of scorn, and since he very understandably doesn't want to be a part of something like throwing out a first pitch, this seems like a good way to publicly give a little something back to a guy who didn't deserve any of the awfulness he's gone through. Really? The only time I hear anyone bring up Steve Bartman, its from a fan of a team that hates the Cubs. Any rare time I hear about him from a Cubs fan its been mostly pity for what he went through in the heat of the moment or its in response to his name being brought up again (like when Kaminsky wore that Bartman jersey to the United Center and thought he was so funny). There were some idiots that treated him like horsefeathers that night but I feel like most of the Cubs fans who were idiots were over it within a few days. Doesn't make their behavior justified, but either way I haven't seen this scorn that you are speaking of. There are 18 morons that yell out his name on every foul ball down the LF line.
