Think of how awesome KGs column will be in a year. "Barfight, anything is possible!" There's a perverse part of me that hopes the Bulls amnesty Boozer and sign KG. Just to watch the backtracking. That and I'm afraid we dump all our cash in extending him for far too long (i.e. more than 1 year)

Standard Categories + BB, K, TB, OPS for hitting, BB, L, HLD, K/9 for pitching. Keeper league, 6-10 keepers, max 4 consecutive keeps I give up: Votto One of Aceves, Henry Rodriguez, Edinson Volquez I get: Fielder Napoli (Current catcher is Wilson Ramos/Ramon Hernandez) Trade looks like a slam dunk for me, just curious people's opinions on the respective pitchers. I'm leaning towards Rodriguez even though he has the best #s thus far. He also gave me the option of Mauer or Napoli, but I have no power anywhere, so I'm pretty set on Napoli.

In the long run, you are right. They apparently intend to massively renovate Wrigley Field to create new revenue streams and renegotiate the cable deal. But that's not going to happen in a season. I feel pretty confident saying the 2013 Cubs will not have a top-5 payroll. Marmol + various arbitration raises should eat up at least half of that. Meaning adding Byrd's contract should take care of Hamels?

I know you're Kyle and all, but I feel like it needs to be said anyway in case people take your nonsense at face value. That Theo Epstein wouldn't come here to play with a lesser payroll than the top tier teams.

Assuming you've seen every inning of every Volstad start, you've seen 22 innings coming into tonight.

Heading into tonight: Volstad OPS against with runners on: .985 Bases Empty: .486 Obviously there's a selection bias whereas if runners are on, odds are the pitcher doesn't have as good of stuff, but here are his career #s. Runners on: .818 Empty: .734

Pushed back a day. Sounds like they're going to do that when able since he's transitioning from the pen. Pretty happy about that.
