  1. It's the cold weather. The Cubs will absolutely hit more than 70 HRs. Cubs have hit 5HR, the Yankees have hit 28. Even the Pirates who have only scored 30 runs this year have 7. I'm not saying they wont, I'm saying I'm having doubts. Are you really going to make me look to see how long it's been since a team has hit less than 70 HRs in a season? No CUBS team since 1960 except in a strike shortened season. And the Cubs even managed to do it in one of the strike shortened seasons(113 games), plus the abbreviated '95.

  3. I feel bad when you have a legit Cubs fan like that Loyola coach who has to get shuffled out of the booth so quickly when he clearly is just enjoying being there. Then you have some clown who's just there to hype his stuff and the Cubs put up a 7 spot.

  5. I'd agree if Campana wasn't up. He can beat that out the majority of the time. We haven't seen Dale play a lot of small ball this year, so I'm guess that's why the bunt was on. It's up to Campana to get the bunt down. I would think Campana's best chance for a hit is to bunt. No proof for that though. With where they were playing him in the same situation in the 1st, it would have to be a pretty great bunt to get on.
  6. Bad managers bunt a guy to 3rd with no outs.
  7. Bad managers walk the 8 hitter, good managers don't.
  8. There's one of those 25 steals Molina gets per season.
  9. I don't know who Jesse James is...but uhh yeah
  10. The last thing Purdue needs is a six man class. We need a one year transfer or a couple walk ons get one year rides. Especially since this guy would be riding the pine. He would be a good fit for Iowa probably. Well Jay Simpson should be one and done so you've gotta reload that class somehow.
  11. .450 according to BR heading into tonight. He's actually been quite bad with the bases empty.
  12. Am I wrong for finding Yadier Molina particularly loathsome. Easily my least favorite Cardinal.
  13. Luongo would be a mess here, IMO
  14. Assuming he survives the season, Burke's going to need to be added to the 40 man this offseason.
  15. Somebody at Yahoo had the recap submitted a bit too early.
  16. Unfortunately you missed the 2000 Marlins with Adrian Gonzalez. And the '83 Twins with Tim Belcher. And Burrell was drafted in '98. COME ON KYLE
  17. Run Differential: -22 (Worst in NL, 28th in ML ahead of MIN and BOS) W-L Pace: 41-121 Pythag Pace: 61-101 SRS: Worst in NL, 27th in ML (KC, MIN, BOS)
  18. I heard Garcia throws low sliders, so Soto's out.
  19. Seth Greenberg out.
  20. YESSSSSSSSSSSS It's back!!
  21. Tampa's system isn't really "loaded" anymore.
  22. That's what I picked, but I could come up with a scenario where the answer is 9-10. More likely to be 16-20 though.
