  1. But I just know, for years, now, YEARS, you throw that slider, and boom, Geo's walking out the hotbox. http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=3707&position=C#pfxpitchvalues Whoops.
  2. Eh? They're already blowing it up as fast as they can. What would even more suckage produce? A twisted (no way that's the right word but whatever) form of entertainment for myself. I have an interest in historically bad sports teams so a 40 win season would be more interesting than a 65-70 win season. That's all in a vacuum though. A season like could possibly hurt attendance and payroll and could keep good players from wanting to play here and what not. And, you know, you'd watch your team lose 30 more games.
  3. Soto from April 23rd, 2011 - today has OPSd 705. It's not great, but it's certainly not lost.
  4. MILLIONDOLLARARMTENCENTHEADTAKEASEATMEAT
  5. Good thing LaHair is a catcher.
  6. YEAH, THAT'D BE A LOT OF FUN
  7. Looking over the 5 starters throughout the league, we really should have shopped him more agressively during the offseason. Maybe we could have gotten something similar to the Gorzo return. Now if we're lucky we'll get something like the Kosuke return if someone's desperate enough. Injuries happen during the season too.
  8. Whenever someone says this, I forget it's a shortened season and I think "hey that's not really that great." What would a 50 win season this year be equal to? A 60 win season? 62
  9. Shut up Beertown, we've already lost da bum, don't make me lose Benchwarmer
  10. That's an odd false dilemma.
  11. I was thinking the same thing. He was on the White Sox all last year, was a top prospect with the Mets, and was involved in the Johan Santana trade.
  12. 3 on the 40 man rosters: Junior Lake, Deunte Heath and Donnie Veal Lake is Dominican
  13. He absolutely did not. And I HATE when the home plate ump makes that call. There's no way Runge had a good view of that.
  14. Except the Cubs went 24-36 when Hill started in 2010, and 52-50 when Geo did.
  15. He's also my only twitter follower after I told him his gf looked like a tranny
  16. You do this every year and it's still wrong. Not all games on the schedule are created equally.
  17. lol, Queen James can't have his poor ankles taped up.
  18. So far, so good. Be sure to keep us updated.
  19. I think they lose 100 no matter what. There isn't enough offense on this team. The pitching overall is fairly good, but if you can't hit and score runs you aren't going to win often. If Dempster is hurt for a period of time things are really going to be bleak. The Cubs need him in the rotation to obviously win games, but they also need him there for trade bait. I don't think the pitching is "fairly good" myself. This team is brutal. Exactly. I am pretty sure the Cubs have the worst bullpen in the majors. Oh, well they're not.
