  1. I thought you said you didn't prefer to be shitty.
  2. They key phrase is "better team." It was doubted by the most professional of opinions that the Bulls could even beat the heat in an ECF scenario. The Bulls success last year was hinging on Rip and Rose being able to stay healthy because they were hurt many times during the season. They weren't a clear favorite, so sitting here and blaming everything due to Rose being hurt is silly. Even if he wasn't hurt you're assuming he'll come in after said injuries and play at MVP caliber. As we saw, the Heat were a better team their second time around and the jury was out on the Bulls being better then the previous year. The Heat went to 7 games in the ECF against the freaking Celtics and nearly lost. Nobody knows what would've happened if the Bulls had been healthy. Neither you or "the most professional of opinions", whatever that means. Yes lets ignore Bosh's injury. The Heat took a major injury to a weak spot on their team and won the ECF despite the adversity. They didn't even use a true center. yea, and let's ignore avery bradley's injury. or ray allen and paul pierce playing hurt. they needed 7 games to beat a banged up celtics team that needed 7 games to beat philly (a team that the bulls almost beat without rose and noah) Nitpick, but the Bulls went 1-4 without Rose against the 76ers. They didn't almost beat them.
  3. For 2012-2013, I doubt it. I can think of a way they don't lose in the EC Semis or Finals
  4. Wait until 2014. they better be laying that foundation NOW. The Heat crap started a few years before it happened. If we're going to try, we better have a ringleader out there recruiting. Too bad Rose is a damn mute. Rose needs to assist in the wooing of free agents. Maybe 2-3 more years of losing will speed up that thought process? Anyways barring a trade, I'm throwing dirt on the 2013 bulls. Or maybe Rose will leave after 2-3 more years of losing.
  5. What's the difference between the Spurs of the early 2000s and the 2012 Spurs?
  6. What contract do the Nets have to send back?
  7. FIGHTFIGHTFIGHTFIGHTFIGHTFIGHTFIGHTFIGHTFIGHTFIGHTFIGHTFIGHTFIGHTFIGHTFIGHTFIGHTFIGHTFIGHT
  8. We'd probably wind up non-tending Porcello in a year.
  9. contract. With us eating 90% of his contract, the contract shouldn't be a problem. It's the years, not the dollars. If we're eating up 90% of the contract, the years don't matter.
  10. Instead of Rick Porcello, let's pursue Jamey Wright. They're pretty much interchangeable.
  11. Boozer didn't have Boozer's jumper out of college either. I love love that pick. Are they going to move JJ now do you think? You can't quite tell with Doc. If you told me on draft day last year that Avery Bradley would wind up a starter and Steimmimesmimsiesema would be a rotation player I'd slap you in the face and call you a [expletive] liar. ETA: I'm guessing JJ hasn't shown up on defense to his liking. They'll probably keep him around as a cheap body, but I doubt he gets much tick at all. Have I mentioned how much I loved the Celtics 1st round???
  12. Boozer didn't have Boozer's jumper out of college either. I love love that pick.
  13. Gordon wants to go to Indiana (partly since his little brother has just hit high school). But the Hornets hold all the cards since he's restricted and the Pacers owner doesn't allow the Pacers to offer restricted free agents offer sheets, so it is still somewhat a long shot. If there's one thing you can trust it's where Gordon decides he wants to go.
  14. Judging by who's around when the Celtics are picking according to mocks, I'd go for: Terrence Jones Fab Melo Jared Sullinger Will Barton Quincy Miller Jeff Taylor Marquis Teague 2nd round Quincy Acy Robbie Hummel (Collect all the Boilermakers!) JaMychael Green
  15. Maybe they're trying to bait one of the first 28 teams to draft him so somebody who's actually good can fall to the Bulls.
  16. Agreed. The states with no teams get screwed the most by the current rules. Iowa, Indy, Oklahoma, Southern Nevada (IDK if it has to do with Vegas/gambling??) all have 4-6 teams they are blackedout from. http://www.desipio.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/mlb-broadcast-map.jpg I don't see it as getting screwed. I have all the RSNs that DirecTV has to offer, and I can watch 6 teams (Royals included). I miss the WCIU games, but I'd hate being in an MLB city and be limited to just the local team. Not everybody gets, or can get, directv. Maybe those people should move to real cities.
  17. I just think you'd never get anything for somebody like LaHair alone, but he could perhaps sweeten the pot for an actual trade chip like Dempster. If you'd never get anything for LaHair alone, why would somebody give you more if you threw him in? Say LaHair = #22 prospect in an organization. How does X = #4 prospect but X+LaHair = #3?
  18. Is there anything to this prevailing theory on here that packaging guys together will get a better return than trading them separately?
  19. The network(s) carrying the games charge so much to the cable provider to carry their channel in their packages. A large draw of many networks which broadcast baseball is the exclusive rights to those games. Right now, if you live in Chicago, the only way you get non-WGN/WCIU games is to subscribe to a cable package which includes Comcast Sportsnet. If you have the option of buying mlb.tv to get your Cubs fix, cable subscriptions go down, CSN cannot charge as much because they're not drawing in subscribers, and if CSN can't charge as much, they aren't making as much on the Cubs, thus they won't pay out the same for their TV contract. ETA: shut up TT
  20. Baseball being dead in Montreal was the cause of the trade, not the effect.
  21. And considering he makes 2.7M, he'll pass through waivers quite easily.
  22. Well that's not true.
