I'll take the under. Cool name, bad major league baseball player. Usually the means he will be an all-star in 3-4 years. Our next series against the Reds he will probably go deep 2-3 times. I wouldn't be shocked if Coats doesn't hit another 2 HRs in his major league career. -
?? He was 8-5 with a 4.24 ERA at AA and 4-1 with a 3.54 ERA at AAA. I recall seeing those numbers somewhere else, probably on the broadcast. I think it was over his last 13 starts or something?

quite a bit. I seem to remember reading about a significant Green Monster factor coming into play when rating Ramirez's defense via metric. He's bad out there, no doubt, but I don't believe he's as terrible as his reputation.

That's kinda the point he's trying to make, but he's framing it in a way that helps explain it to other people who ordinarily wouldn't buy into it rather than just starting a topic to say Quality Starts and W-L record aren't good stats. This way he can get through to people rather than inciting scorn and not getting through to people. Even you had to learn the value of deeper statistics from somebody.

That one will take some doing..... let me put that on the back burner for the time being. i suspected it might. if it's too much work, absolutely don't worry about it. i was just curious as to how it would compare to qs. Thanks to the Godliness of the new BR I should be able to hammer it out fairly quickly. I need to prevent my impending suicide anyways. I'm gonna not include Wade Miller, cause really who cares about him.
