  1. LOL, of course you said that. LOL Alfonso Soriano!!
  2. Duncan was playing against righties anyways. Either way, you know more playing time for Ankiel/Donutman will hurt us. Duncan's brutal against lefties in his major league time, I'm sure Ankiel will be the same. Stop believing in magic.
  3. Duncan was playing against righties anyways.
  4. Imagine how bad Pierre would be if he wasn't a great student of the game who worked tirelessly at his craft.
  5. Yes yes, we get it. LOL [player that makes out], LOL COBS [end of inning] Rinse, wash, repeat. We understand. Really. I don't get it.
  6. It'd be really weird if Trachsel struck out Pierre.
  7. Villanueva going for Milwaukee has to mean the Brew pen should be in by the 7th at the latest. Keep it close Stros, and stop hacking.
  8. yeah i'm hardly encouraged when i hear that he has the worst k/bb and k/9 ratios in baseball, but he's "found a way." That's announcer-speak for "been lucky." I don't remember where I read it(BTF I think), but Trachsel's BABIP was in line with the Cubs team BABIP so, as Ender is tirelessly trying to point out, the Cubs defense should be able to prop up Trachsel's numbers. It's not a bad team to have a guy who's pitching to contact, just keep the BBs and HRs down too if you're not gonna K anyone.
  9. Would love to hear your reasons why. Overrated compared to the amount of attention he attracts from media types? His career numbers are very, very good. I understand being sick of the guy because of the attention he gets, but there is no denying he is a very good player. You can be a very good player and overrated.
  10. wasn't it a line drive over the first baseman while stepping into the box? The check swing broken bat was the coolest one.
  11. Didn't realize how good a hitter Trachsel was.
  12. I don't quite know why, but I love those Dos Equis commercials.
  13. I'll take the under. Cool name, bad major league baseball player.
  14. It will be all good after Ward goes yard here. Would Ward going yard have gotten rid of synergy?
  15. Yeah I don't think I'll be able to handle too much of this thread.
  16. I always forget Penny started with the D-Backs.
  17. ~1 month of the league minimum I believe. ~50,000 Anyone?
  18. Placido Polanco seems weirdly underrated considering his batting average. And as a bonus he got really good once he left the Cards.
  19. I think you'd be better off playing ND in November than now as far as prestige of the win goes. Media is all over them now losing to a Tech team that wasn't that highly thought of. By November they may be a 500 team that people could call surging.
  20. You really think Mizzou looked more impressive than Clemson, BC, or Georgia Tech?
  21. Fuld is getting his masters in statistics at Stanford in his spare time.
  22. This leaves 34 on the roster, 16 pitchers 18 position players. Cotts, Mateo, Samardzija, Petrick, and Fox the only non-DLd guys not called up. Likely meaning Cotts and Fox are the first 2 to go should spots need to be opened on the 40 man next offseason.
