I still think it's possible that Holliday's finger snuck through Barrett's spike and grazed the plate after his spike, but Barrett was not at fault on the play, by the time the ball got to him, Holliday was sliding in. He could catch the ball cleanly, and he still would've had to run down the prone Holliday and tag him out. Barrett's the only reason there's a damn controversy because he did a great job of blocking the plate, not allowing an inch for Holliday to hit home plate on the corner.
