  1. Isn't Blanco signed through next year? Or is this his last year? he only signed a 1 year deal 2 year deal signed before '07. I brought much rage for not handing the job to Geo. Probably worked out for the best.
  2. I'd like to pick him up if we could get him in the minors til September, then go with him as the backup next year. Sorry Koyie.
  3. Stupid names for home runs: Dinger, Tater, etc Steve Berthiaume saying "Fill thine horn with oil, and go" But then again, we could go another 30 pages on ESPN things that tick us off. I actually liked "say hello to my little friend" the first time I heard it as a HR call. The only time Kenny Mayne has even slightly amused me is when he shouted "I am the finest player in ALL the land!" when someone hit a homer. Baseball pet peeve and overall life pet peeve: Kenny Mayne. That wasn't Kenny Mayne (at least not originally). The first was Steve Berthiaume. Nah it was Mayne. No, it was Berthiaume. Unless the preface to bring me your finest meats and cheeses was slightly different, it was Mayne. Steve Berhiaume needs to get polio and the vaccine needs to be destroyed.

  5. Your stats are off somewhere Red, I think it's that you included CC's pitches from tonight but not the actual start in the divide by. CC will certainly throw more pitches this season than he did last year barring some sort of injury. Using BPro's #s, he'd be at 2948 right now with ~7 starts to go after throwing 3581 pitches last year. He should run away with the most pitches thrown crown this year unless Cito Gaston decides he wants to try and bleed a Cy Young season out of Halladay.
  6. Johnson is adorable, not hot.
  7. And now we see where Nastia gets her forehead.
  8. Nastia looks much better in those interviews without her hair pulled back to her neck.
  9. I wish somebody would go after Simers next. With their car.
  10. I know the Brewers are going to win, but this is about as awesome as it gets without them losing.
  11. He won my heart in the all star game.
  12. Best case here: he walks Tejada. Ned will probably give him one more chance to get another out if he doesn't allow a run.
  13. I mean, how in the hell do you not even have somebody warming up at the beginning of the inning??
  14. 118 pitches 1 pitch into Darin Erstad, leadoff hitter.
  15. Steve Phillips, voice of reason.
  16. Steve Phillips thinks it's amazing that Brewer fans stayed around til the end of a 9-2 game. Besides Dodger fans, who leaves a win early?
  17. Seattle has a very bad baseball team.
  18. That quick inning was probably bad for Sabathia. Yost is a blithering idiot, but he's not mentally handicapped. If CC was up around 120 he wouldn't bring him back for the 9th. With him only throwing 111 so far, Yost will probably get those CG stars in his eyes and make him throw 130.
