  1. So are tall guys not allowed to win awards because they're at an unfair advantage. Layups and dunks are the easiest shots in basketball, players should take as many of them as possible. You can make an argument for Blair, or maybe somebody else as a longshot, but Thabeet was definitely deserving.
  2. I traded him for Billingsley over the winter. (Nobody cares about my fantasy team.)
  3. Except that's not the point, he shouldn't get himself out as easily as he does. abuck is hung up on semantics. Of course it's not that easy, but it's easier than it should be. Alfonso Soriano has a lot of professional ABs. If it should be easier to get him out, and teams aren't, then every scout in baseball should be fired.
  4. Depends how long he can put off a decline phase, and how long his legs hold up. It's not impossible to imagine him finishing up with 500 HRs/400 SBs. He'd probably make it off of that.
  5. So you think all toolsy prospects have the ability to gain plate discipline if they just worked at it?
  6. Really? You don't know where Vladimir Guerrero plays baseball? The reason I brought up Vlad is that he has the strike zone management of Randall Simon, which I assumed was the basis of your hatred for Soriano. How do you know that Soriano can do better with his tools? How often do guys learn command of the strike zone on the major league level?
  7. Jacque and LaTroy don't fit that description. Jacque was booed on the first homestand cause he started like 0-14. LaTroy was booed after blowing like 1 save.
  8. It seems the hatred for Soriano is because he doesn't have plate discipline? Do you guys hate Vlad?
  9. Jiggets is a deep thinker compared to high school drop out North. It's North/Jiggetts or Mike/Mike on ESPN. Which one is going to talk more about the Cubs? I'd rather listen to Mike & Mike talk Arena Football than North/Jiggets wax idiotic about anything. And I don't even like Mike & Mike.
  10. Jiggets is a deep thinker compared to high school drop out North.
  11. Gotta be better than Aaron Miles, position player.
  12. Colvin drew 3 walks today. Quit harshing my buzz
  13. How were the tacos. Didn't have them, got there late and wasn't in the mood... weather sucked. So maybe they were UNLUCKY tacos? Well, you still didn't eat lettuce. Maybe that's it.
  14. Probably John Caponera. He's painful.
  15. Letting Gooz hit for himself was...questionable.
  16. Voice of the Puppy Bowl too.
  17. Jim Boeheim is already preparing his speech to expand the field to 256.
  18. We haven't won a game all year in which Aaron Miles has appeared.
  19. Next time you do it, flag down a cop and find out. If you can pass all the tests, you're cool with me. He'd probably tell me to stop wasting his time.
  20. Being absolutist about it solves nothing. I had 2 beers yesterday from 4-6. I drove home at 8:30. You really think there's a problem with that?
  21. Just checking.
  22. I think Soriano should close.
