Way to take advantage of a lead off double guys. These two teams deserve each other. For anyone watching, are there many fans at Wrigley today?

It is so fun watching $14-16 million per year pitchers not get people out. 45 pitches already for Zambrano. My gosh this team needs to be put out of its misery.

The Cubs offense scored 1 F'in run and this idiot focuses on a flyball that was lost in the sun? Then he compounds it by implying the veterans are playing good? How much more embarassment is Tom Ricketts willing to endure. This team is the laughingstock of baseball. Whether it makes a difference or not, you fire Quade today and let Listach manage the team the rest of the year. Or better yet, make Hendry manage them since he put this crap together.

Bases loaded, no outs with a tiring pitcher and the Cubs can't get the ball out of the infield. They sure are a fun bunch.

Phillies bring up Vance Worley when they have an injury and the Cubs give us, Doug Davis, Rodrigo Lopez, Ramon Ortiz and Casey Coleman. Nice work by everyone in the front office. I say bonuses for everyone!

Dempster is making sure the game has no chance to go to extra innings and interfere with his fundraiser tonight. A chance to win a series against the best team in the National League and the interim closer can't hold a lead one night followed by the guy who Quade felt deserved the Opening Day start crapping himself the next day. How can anyone not love the Cubs?

30 pitch first inning, nice. Does Vasquez reach double digits in the first or do the Cubs actually make him work a little? Good job guys. Your pitcher struggles through the first and you make Vasquez throw 9 whole pitches. Unbelievable.

Iowa ranks 15th out of 16 teams in the pcl w/ 279 walks. Top team has 417, bottom team has 277 Tennessee ranks last out of 10 teams in the Southern league w/ 265 walks. Top team has 351 Daytona ranks 8th out of 12 teams in the fsl w/ 264 walks. Top team has 350 walks, bottom team has 223 Peoria ranks 15th out of 16 teams in the Midwest league w/ 230 walks. Top team has 329 walks, bottom team has 213 That pretty much sums up why I want to see everyone under Ricketts fired. For the life of me I can't figure out why Hendry is so dumb about this. The 2008 team was by far the best offensive team he has had but he seemingly doesn't understand why it was a good offensive team.

I was there Friday and Saturday. The park is beautiful and I was pleasantly surprised that the city was nicer than I expected. I stayed at the Spring Hill Marriott which is outside the left field corner and you can see the parking lot in one of the pictures. Had to be a typical tourist and have a sandwich at Primanti Brothers original location Saturday afternoon. It was worth the 30 minute wait to get in.

This can't be happening because Ricketts and his band of idiots told us everything would be ok when Marlon Byrd and Darwin Barney came back. Selig should invoke the "In the spirit of the game" power and remove Quade from the All Star coaching staff. I don't care what anyone says, Quade and Hendry should be fired Sunday.

Barney needs to learn to layoff 3-2 pitches that are way out of the strike zone. That should have been a leadoff walk.

I'll be there Friday night and am glad I won't have to watch Doug Davis! I guess, but are Rodrigo Lopez/Casey Coleman/Ramon Ortiz any better? edit: Z to DL so the starters @ Pitt will be Lopez/Dempster/??? great. I'd like to see Rodrigo win Sunday, but I am hoping they bring up another young guy and give him a chance next Friday night.

Hendry doesn't have time to release Davis, he is conducting important meetings with his scouts. In reality, he should cleaning out his office.

Baseball is a funny game. Davis stymies the Yankees but most other teams pound the living crap out of him.
