  1. Considering who is pitching and the conditions I support the call.
  2. Why is it stupid? The wind is blowing in and we're facing an ace. It's smart to try to play for one run. Very smart...one may be enough
  3. Go to your room and whip yourself with a belt 50 times. there goes the no no...You should no better than that
  4. Cabrera should have conceded the run and stepped on 3rd and thrown across to get Aram. I'm sure glad he did'nt though....
  5. What about the return of Grace I'm sure he would love to comeback....>sarcasm<
  6. He is too busy beating up Japanese pitchers...literally. There is this video clip floating around where he charged the mound in Japan and the pitcher went into the fetal position and took his beating.
  7. My post got sandwiched into yours..
  8. It's only been ten games. If he consistently performs this way to the end of July then I would say he's a disappointment.
  9. He threw 68.1 innings in '05....what is up to already this year???
  10. I'm not worried...at least this year the CUBS have depth/good bench which will make injuries easier to bear. I wish could say the same about the starting pitching.
  11. Gluteus maximus
  12. Can someone explain to me why? Is there a rule or something? Because there are too many anal retentive posters here....rules rules rules. I also notice that if you are not a regular poster your opinion means nothing to most. This is simply an observation so save the back talk. I'm not trying to start anything here. EAMUS CATULI
  13. He really shrank last year. I remeber him saying he got smaller because he wanted to improve his quickness behind the plate, but he was under 200 lbs going into spring training last year. I really do not like to accuse without solid evidence, but deep down I feel the number of players juicing a few years back would be mind numbing. I'm just glad that era is over because there is nothing I hate more than cheaters. Did Bonds also say something recently about losing weight to benefit his game? Do these cheaters really think that we are that stupid?!?!?!
  14. I'm not accusing here, but could it be post roids?.?.?. I really wonder just how many players were juicing a few years back.
  15. It made me feel a little more optomistic about his chances at improvement this coming year. He seems to have the right attitude and mental makeup to turn it around. Jacque has been working with Tony Gwynn during the off season to get his average back toward the .300 range. JJ stated he was embarassed by his .249 average last year and is determined to improve. Getting away from that dome may help too. I get the feeling he did not like playing there very much (possibly psychological). If he gets away from trying to pull the ball as he did too frequently in Minnesota he will be fine. The lack of power in the Twins lineup forced him into a role not suited to him. I can see him hitting the ball to all fields this year with some pop. All in all I feel good about him in right. He could very well be a sleeper pickup. He has the right tools to be successful but he must improve against LHP. EAMUS CATULI...AC 036198
  16. I always figured the Cubs in a 7th game of a WS meant the apocalypse was only a few short minutes away. Martial law would be imposed
  17. me too Me three.....
  18. Tampa Bay Retirees...they play like retired folk
  19. Ernie Banks autographed ball/picture....Ron Santo atographed picture....Bob Feller autographed pictures....Dick Butkus autographed helmut (throwback with the white C)....Autographed CUBS jersey by nearly the entire team from when Baylor was managing....there are a few more but I can't think of them right now.
  20. I was simply born into it.
  21. Good point....Good teams almost always take advantage of extra outs.
  22. Yesterday I was wearing my 1969 home CUBS jersey and my traditional CUBS hat (no stupid red bill). Today I'm wearing the hat with a Wrigley shirt. I own 7 different jerseys and multiple tees so I'm with you. The best part is I live in the St. Louis area so I get looks often. It is hard to take the Sox in the series though. At least I'm down here away from Sox fans.
  23. Len (if it really is him) said he would mention something about it during the telecast today. We'll see.......
  24. balls stopped by the moat ground rule doubles or infielders have to swim for em?if i have a beer tap at my seat i \'ll need a catheter or a personal urinal, one or the other A condom catheter would work pefectly. Fighter pilots use them during long missions. They are applied just like a condom, hence the name, and it would save you the pain of a tube being slammed down your uretrha. Discretion is also a bonus....
