  1. Apparently Rizzo got robbed of hitting Rizzo bomb number 24 tonight.
  2. I'm pretty sure that was supposed to be a joke.
  3. Because that would be 1944 runs in a year and that would be a record.
  4. Garza is back to giving up home runs like he did before last year.
  5. It's pretty much the lineup we'll see when Rizzo gets up here. Just replace Soriano with Campana.
  6. It really depends on what Garza's contract demands are. If he's asking for Matt Cain type money, then I try to get the Jays, Yankees and Red Sox in a bidding war and hope the Jays offer the most. I'm not real comfortable with giving Garza, Matt Cain type money. I'd rather have Anibal Sanchez plus the prospects in the Garza trade than just Matt Garza on a deal he's probably not worth.
  7. The Rangers sure don't miss him.
  8. But that guy is like 40 years old, he doesn't count.
  9. Or you could move DeJesus to CF and LaHair to RF. The defense would be freaking awful but I don't really care at this point.
  10. To be fair, there is nothing unlucky about striking out 8 times in the past 4 games. Sure he's been unlucky for the majority of the year but lately he's just been plain bad. I'm all for playing him everyday since we have no other options but it would be nice to see some results sooner or later.
  11. Regardless of what they do with Garza, they're probably punting next year anyway. I'd go 5/100 with him, I would really have to think about giving Garza a 6 year deal at 20 mil a year. Pretty much all of his advanced stats are down from last year. Some of them aren't down by much but it's enough to really make me think twice about giving him a Matt Cain type deal.
  12. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/chi-castro-in-lineup-tonight-vs-brewers-20120605,0,7255862.story I like Dale's response.
  13. This wasn't exactly his first mental gaff this year though. Stopped running on the attempted steal on Friday, didn't run out the swinging bunt in Pittsburgh. I don't really agree with how Dale handled this but hopefully this it stops at the threaten part and doesn't actually turn into a benching.

  15. I agree that Castro needs an off day but only because he's played every game and has struggled at the plate lately. Not because of what happened today.
  16. Thank God we don't have to listen to Hendry's crap anymore and hear him say guys like Johnson and Baker are untouchable. I think we could get a good haul for players like Garza, Dempster and DeJesus.
  17. You better get a Justin Upton type player in return to even think about it, even then I probably wouldn't do it. The only way you even consider trading a young player like Starlin is if you get multiple young established MLB players like Starlin in return.
  18. Is there even a possibility he slips the 6? The lowest I've seen him is 4.
  19. I'd take Zunino at 6 if the 3 college pitchers, Correa and Buxton have all been taken.
  20. At least they have Shark throwing with the right hand.
  21. It's 90 and the wind is blowing strongly, straight out. To be fair, Soriano's and Castro's homers would have been out regardless of what the wind was doing and possibly Stewart's. The only wind aided home run so far has been Barney's.
