    The fact that he's blocking ACC schools and Florida because Wisconsin plays them is really sad. Still don't know why he's blocking Iowa State.

If he really "wanted to be closer to home", that's the only school that he should be upset about. B1G regulations would make it tough to transfer to Herk. He was Bo's top recruit last year, Bo invested time, scholarship, and practice/teachings. I try to consider it like a non-compete in business, or when businesses pay for someone's MBA but require them to stay with them for at least 2 years following. I understand the kid is only 19, but he made a decision and there are consequences. The tampering excuse is such a cop out. Bo is just being a big baby about this. I understand the B1G schools and possibly Marquette but Iowa State and ACC schools are a joke. Heaven forbid he wants to play in a different system or go to a school closer to home. But no, Bo can't have it that way. I'm sure Jarrod is the first and will be the last player to want to transfer to another school.

    Baker and DeWitt have a combined UZR today of -42. Everything is getting by them today.

    What did people expect? We had to watch Koyie Hill for like 5 years. We don't know what it's like to have a backup catcher that can actually hit.

    Yeah, the Cubs didn't "pass" on Cespedes or Darvish. They lost a blind bid for Darvish and made a competitive offer for Cespedes. Theo/Jed passed on Fielder and Pujols, but you can't say the same for the aforementioned pair. Even if we did "pass" on Fielder and Pujols, it didn't make any sense for us to give Fielder a 9 year deal and Pujols a 10 year deal.

    Why does everyone think we passed on Cespedes? We offered him a 6 year deal, like everyone else besides the A's. Did anyone think it would of been a good idea to offer him a 4 year deal? I sure as heck didn't. To say we passed on him is just wrong. He took a deal that was better for him but didn't make much sense for us. Who knows what our bid was on Darvish but we know that they made a bid. Just because we didn't get the player, doesn't mean Theo and Jed didn't try to get them.

    The fact that they are intelligent is what makes this so annoying. If they had been trying to put together a good team, they probably could have done it. Ya, by spending stupid money on players that don't deserve it. Let's go out and give Fielder an 8 year deal just to make it seem like we're trying to win next year. WOOOOOO.

    Iowa State didn't want him anyway. We didn't. We'd much rather have players like Clint Mann and Eric McKnight.

    Weber needed to go regardless of who MT hired. Weber lost the team, they quit on him. You can't get a team back once they've quit on you. This hire isn't ideal but it shouldn't make people jump off a bridge either. Give the guy a chance. I can't remember that far back but I'm guessing people weren't thrilled with the Bill Self hiring either.

    He is, press conference at 2:30. I know this sounds bad but I hope one of Railey or Sledge transfer as well. We need one of their scholarships to try and replace Royce with. Should still be pretty decent next year though, probably as good as this year.

    I guess the lane violation was technically the right call but it was still lame that they called it. It didn't impact the free throw at all.

    I hope they don't hire Gregg Marshall. Not that he's a bad coach but I just don't see him as a great fit at Illinois. I don't think he'd excite the fan base or the Chicago recruits like Shaka would.
