  1. ABTY.... Yuck to almost all of this
  2. Huh? From whom? Where are you seeing this? He's probably more in the 55-75 range (depending on years).

  4. Okay, Dwight, [expletive] idiot http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdQTdq-01A0

  6. Dave Schoenfield is saying this might open up room for the Tigers to go after Cano. Would guess Kinsler to 3B in that case.
  7. I didn't even know Buxton was in it. What's the point of doing an AFL top 20, if you basically are just moving guys up from their top 100 rankings to the next closest guy who is also in the AFL?
  8. Who was 1 and 2?
  9. Commissioner JoAnn Birrell on why Cobb County Residents didn't get to vote on public funds going into building the Braves new stadium....... http://www.cbsatlanta.com/story/24015350/memorandum-of-understanding-finalized-between-cobb-county-and-the-atlanta-braves http://24.media.tumblr.com/d1fbddf198fd49c70cf256c4547b0e9d/tumblr_mmrfpbW0Ey1sqqdgdo1_250.gif
  10. According to someone/post on PSD the Rockies might be more interested in moving Fowler than Cargo. I'd hope we'd be all over a Fowler trade if he were to be made available.
  11. He might not mean in the "Samardzija going and Wieters coming in the same deal", but let's assume that's the case. In terms of value, you're probably looking at the Orioles throwing in a small piece to balance the deal, as Wieters/Samardzija are similar players in value but Wieters will make a good bit more these last two years. The fun part is thinking of what that means for Castillo. Looking at who might be in the market for a catcher, the Jays, Angels, and Rangers seem like the most logical fits. Do they have another internal option to replace Wieters if traded? Wonder if Castillo would be included with Samardzija to increase the prospect(s) return. I'm in favor of the idea of a Samardzija for Wieters deal with a prospect or two coming our way. This all could have been avoided had we just drafted Wieters, however..... Edit: Just saw that Loxas guy also has this to say (no idea who he is or if he's legit) http://www.chicagonow.com/loxas-factor/2013/11/cubs-and-orioles-talk-samardzija-and-wieters/
  12. Graham (I actually am in the same spot, have Reed and picked up Graham and am starting him due to the concussion for Reed) and Williams Rainey Flex spot Ryan Mathews @KC Alshon @ STL Pick 2 Cam @ MIA (been surprisingly stingy vs QB's) Eli v. DAL Big Ben @ CLE Ryan v. NO
  13. They basically are operating under a open gym scheme at this point. Bunch of me first guys where the first guy over half court with the ball is going to chuck it and defense is just an opportunity for them to rest and bitch at each other about their previous failed attempt to score on offense and/or not getting the ball passed to them.
  14. Damn, I would've been fine if we gave him a 1 year deal for $12-15 mil (with benchmarks of course). But yeah he wanted to be on a West Coast team (believe he lives in Vegas) and obviously SD is a great part to help a pitcher regain value. Great signing by the Padres.
  15. Marcus Smart, sweet jesus
  16. Saw this posted on a Brewer message board. #NotAnMVP
  17. He's my #1 assuming we aren't talking like a $100+ million difference in total contract (or contract+posting in Tanaka's case) between those three.
  18. Just a guess on my part but possibly Seattle and Texas? If his market continues to not develop and/or his price drops to $20-25 millionish a year I think the Pirates should/could make a run at him. Then move Alvarez to 1B and Walker to 3B
  19. Why the [expletive] does he continue to be a guy teams even consider?
  20. His signing was the moment I considered myself an "educated baseball fan." I remember thinking he was going to shore up our bullpen and be the missing piece, and that only truly educated baseball fans could appreciate the value of a shutdown reliever. we were so innocent back then It's funny that you put it that way. After his melt down at Shea in 2004 (I was there) and Sammy's uncerimonoius exit shortly thereafter, I became a hardened, cynical fan, divested of the wide-eyed innocence of my youth. Cubs baseball hasn't been the same for me since. Victor fuckign Diaz

  22. I'm in 7th place (out of 10) at 3-8 in my lesser money league, have scored the 4th most points and have had more points scored against me than the team with the most points in the league has.
  23. Yeah if he puts that deep out of the end zone over his head he gets the PI call.
