  2. Pick 1 for my QB 2 Big Ben v. BUF Eli v. OAK really going back on forth on this one, leaning Ben right now (supposed to be really windy at both stadiums) Pick one for flex V. Jackson v. MIA H. Nicks v. OAK R. Mathews v. DEN
  3. I want Tanaka as much as the next guy, but not for a $75+ million posting fee Why? Not that we can afford it, but I wouldn't care if we won the bid at 100 mill+, it's a one time fee. Granted, a 100 mill fee would also mean a 100 mill contract for him, but finding TOR types at his age are very rare opportunities. Don't most guys think Tanaka is more of a middle of the rotation guy than a TOR guy on a good team? I agree that if he truly is a TOR guy it's worth it I just thought I've heard he isn't quite there, maybe I'm wrong.
  4. Offensively for Almora do you think a decent comp would be Nate Mclouth the two-three years he was good with the Pirates (obviously his defense projects to be much better)? 2007: 10.2%bb, 20.2%k .258/.351/.459 13HR/22SB 2008: 9.5%bb, 13.6%k .276/.356/.459 26HR/23SB 2009: 11.5%bb, 16.8%k .256./.352/.436 20HR/19SB
  5. As if we could be so lucky. I wanna be the team who has to install a ramp in the dugout and have a scooter so our manager can get to the pitchers mound. I was thinking something more like this http://b.vimeocdn.com/ts/868/664/86866454_640.jpghttp://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lq3n4hv5941qijd1zo1_400.gif
  6. Saw that, they look like some cheap knock off pseudo-jersey you can buy at a Wal-Mart or like a JC Penny's for $20. Unfortunately I think the sleeves are going to become permanent once they start having advertising on jerseys to create more space to put ads. I've gotten rec-league jersey's that look better.
  7. Yeah, Simmons and Zach Lowe were going nuts about him on his podcast from yesterday. I haven't seen him play yet this year, but plan to go out of my way to do so whenever they may be on TV in my area (guessing whenever they play Milwaukee will be my chance).
  8. This board also wouldn't trade Soto for Mike Trout. We have a tendency to overvalue our own players. Wait, when was this? Like when Trout was in A ball and wasn't a huge/well known prospect yet? I'm not saying I/we don't have times of overvaluing our own guys but I never recall that conversation.
  9. IDK if this belongs here or in potpourri but I'll put it here, this live WSOP final 2 on ESPN right now is weirdly amusing and entertaining.
  10. Probably the same guys who think Darwin Barney is part of the future core of the Cubs and Brian Bogusevic is a big time prospect when he comes up from Iowa in the middle of September.
  11. Damn, well hopefully Bryant at least gets a PH attempt
  12. My guide is showing it starts at 8CT and the BBWA are being aired live at 7CT This morning, my DirecTV guide updated to the Solar Sox game. My guide still shows Mesa starting at 8CT and I saw a commercial for the Mesa game tonight while watching MLBN before work.
  13. Outside of Zimmer/Ventura... who would be considered as "high end pitching prospects" in the Royals system? I imagine Almonte could be considered as one? Maybe Selman, but I wouldn't consider him as high end. So lets go with this... Shark/Barney/Scheirholtz for Cain/Herrera/Ventura/Zimmer What do you guys think? I do that deal and don't even think twice
  14. And Kelvin Herrera throws some gas, average FB velo over the last two years has been over 98 MPH.
  15. My appreciation for that deal hinges heavily on who those two high end prospects are. I mostly agree, but I also highly appreciate any deal that rids us of Barney. I've always liked Cain going back to his Brewers days but, like Barney, almost all of his value is tied to his defense.
  16. It was -8 this morning, IF he is out I bet it falls somewhere to a pick em to Pack -3. Doubt it reopens with them as home dogs.
  17. Timetable that other QB's have come back from these? You'd have to think a few weeks at minimum. Did Stafford ever have a similar injury to his non-throwing shoulder, how long was he out for (I know he's had shoulder injuries, but obviously a broken collarbone on your throwing shoulder has to keep you out longer)?
  18. I think it's mostly 2 along with Trestman being better than McCarthy (at least tonight). Still don't know why McCarthy didn't challenge that catch in the first half that could have led to a Packers FG at least. But probably mostly how much better McCown is than Wallace along with McCown getting a whole week of practice in with the first team and Wallace maybe getting like 5 snaps with his first team.
  19. The Clippers just put up 42 points in the first quarter. Reddick had 15 points and Paul had 9 assists. Edit: Make that 78 in the first half.
  20. Rodgers is so much more of a leader and professional than Jay out there in his hoodie and sweats
  21. What is this? On Deck 2014 - Season Ticket Holder presentation with Theo and Crane Kenney. Oh, didn't know about that.
  22. Bryant 0-1 with a BB and Soler is 0-2, no idea on what types of outs they made other than not K's
