    I'd be fine with MLB uniforms being filled with adverting like Nascar if it meant more revenue for the team. It wouldn't affect me enjoying the game any more or less.

    May have been asked/answered already, but why can't this game just be "suspended" and played tomorrow afternoon since it's the first of 3 games and tomorrows game isn't starting until 7pm? Unless, obviously, this is a diabolical FU by PTR to the rooftops to have a few games down the stretch play into the wee hours of the night, on week nights, before renovations start.

    I seriously would rather trade him for Harvey or Fernandez and roll the dice they come back from TJS than trade him for Hamels with his contract and likely impending decline.

    I'd be pretty surprised if he didn't have some sort of insurance policy to pay him a good chunk of money if he couldn't keep playing due to an injury.

    Holy crap, Phil Hughes has a 4.7 fWAR this year (good for 5th in the league). That's more fWAR than he's put up in the last 3 years combined (4.3).

    That's not true, they play the Mets tomorrow. *After this series. Forgot we have the weird 4 game series that goes Fri-Mon Also a decent chance Cincy is below .500 at the end of the day today. They have a double header in Colorado and were .500 going into the day, I was assuming they'd at least split. *Other than Cincy who currently sits at .500 and NY tomorrow every team they play the rest of the way is currently at and will likely be .500 or better

    No, everyone still loves him but they seem to understand the odds of him turning into Cedeno (or worse) are probably just as likely as him turning into better than Castro.

    3 of those are struggling (Rizzo, Alcantara, Baez), Valbuena has been hurt and Coghlan has cooled off over the last 2ish weeks. So it's not that surprising we have struggled scoring runs in roughly that same time frame.

    When does Aiken have to make his decision on if he's going JUCO or the regular college route by? If he goes the JUCO route and performs well and stays healthy I kinda want him if we go the pitcher route.

    Yeah doesn't seem like to big of a deal, unfortunate yes, but even if it's broken he's shut down for the year and misses out on just a few more weeks of ab's anyways. Also, all of the sudden, Theo/Jed have their excuse to hold him down next year. "Well you know he had that toe injury that cut his season short last year, so we want to ease him back into baseball down in Iowa to make sure he's completely ready."
