  1. The leftover bones of a recently eaten bucket of KFC.
  2. It was recently discussed in one of the threads, I think in Cubs Discussions. Pretty sure the findings didn't lead to much of a validation of the theory and I think it may have been debunked.
  3. Usually if you can't hit, you have to be really good on defense as a catcher. So John, I gotta say http://www.reactiongifs.com/r/say-you-do-here.gif
  4. First thing I thought of was vintage Derrek Lee. That's what I was thinking. I didn't realize Soler had his front leg so open to start his stance until last night.
  5. Since Lilly already took care of Yadi I'd say Wainwright, though I'd be happy seeing Yadi taken down again
  6. McKinney gets added before him
  7. I would argue if Soler wins ROY/MVP and is voted into the HOF *despite* a .323 OBP then things went incredibly well. Glass half empty, eh? No, those superficial awards wouldn't take away from the fact he had a rather pedestrian career.
  8. Is Soler really not starting tonight? If so, that's brutal. Yes, sounds like he isn't even getting to the park until about 2 hours before the game.
  9. Thanks :good:
  10. Those are all still fairly decent-good, also bWAR is for chumps
  11. He's so terrible. Finally some real stories for Derwood
  12. 16 wins out of 28... wouldn't that be a 69 pace? No? 162/28= 5.8 (rounded up) 5.8x16= 92.8
  13. Muskat is so bad at her job her saying he's not there makes me feel like there's a 99.9% chance he will be there and starting tonight
  14. Do any of 1 of Jackson's pitches rank as plus by pitchf/x that he could maybe be okay out of the bullpen?
  15. http://33.media.tumblr.com/65e7c44cfcdaa732c1ed5a846f57bc00/tumblr_n0jgpqtKqG1qzdga6o1_400.gif
  16. Pirates sent Gregory Polanco back down to AAA
  17. He'll be up in 5 days anyways Yeah, I don't care if that's the move. Just find it a bit odd and trying to figure out what they might do, though I know it's been guessed at Ruggiano is going to the DL
  18. They wouldn't send Szczur down already, would they?
  19. I appreciate Valbuena for what he is (cost controlled, patient hitter, versatile), but it's not like I'm going to stop what I'm doing to see what Luis Valbuena does when he's up to bat. I mean, the dude has the same fWAR this season as Robinson Chirinos. fWAR has yet to figure out a way to properly weigh awesome bat flips
  20. I get that sentiment but I feel pretty certain Soler is going to end up being better than at least 1, if not both of them.
