    I have no idea how to go about searching/sorting that nor want to spend the time, but just by a few random name searches of somewhat recent big prospects single season highs. Stanton- 39 in A ball Fielder- 28 AAA (PCL) Wil Myers (when he was considered a big prospect)- 37 Trout- 11 Harper- 17 Longoria- 26 Rizzo- 26 J. Upton- 18 Braun- 22 A. Gordon- 29

    I'd still move Samardzija for Russell and sign Lester+Scherzer (if we are playing in hypothetical GM world). And since it's hypothetical I'd only sign them to 4 year deals with a really high AAV so if they break they aren't on the books that long.

    Get ready to see lots of Sexy Rexy in preseason game 4. It would be so Cleveland if both Hoyer/Manziel go down early and Grossman ends up starting like 12+ games for them this year after all this pre-season hoopla

    Yeah, Cabrera's could be the worst. That body is going to break down fast -- well, it already is. He is bound for DH'ing soon. And isn't it like a ten-year extension? Just looked it's 8, with 2 team options. But he's signed for the next 9 since it doesn't go into effect until after next year. Basically an A-Rod contract hoping you get a few years in the middle where he's going for milestone HR, Hits, etc and then the last few years are sunk costs. But I agree he's probably DH bound within the next 3 years.

    Dombrowski has been fantastic in trades, but man has he been bad in giving the 9 figure FA contracts/extensions. Verlander, Fielder, Cabrera's recent extension (which I also don't think has kicked in yet).
