  1. In all seriousness I expect something like 2-14, with a HR and a bunch of K's in his first series.
  2. Gonna have to get an order in on a Baez shersey asap
  3. I wonder if Russell gets called up to AAA in place of, or is it far to soon for that? Would being in AAA affect his ability to be in the AZL? Don't think it matters what level of MILB he's in
  4. Would Russell moving to AAA be soon, to take Baez's spot, be something to expect?

  6. I'd rather do that than a September callup. Yeah call him up right now, or wait until next year
  7. Baez, Soler, Bryant, Alcantara, Russell
  8. Big series with the Rockies this week for positioning
  9. Really? Why? I absolutely expect him to be around next year.
  10. I'd be more pissed about Soler not coming up than Baez not coming up, since with Soler's contract there are no games that need to be played to get extra control.

  12. [expletive] Jack Morris
  13. Soler is going to be an all-star next year
  14. I see the article title is determining banner ads.... Spolier for size
  15. Good god. Fun fact, Tony Thomas is currently in AA in the Twins org at 27 years he's putting up a .238/.306/.402 line with 31 BB and 108 K in 376 PA.
  16. He's a [expletive] idiot, I was watching towards the end of the trade deadline. He was applauding the Red Sox for getting actual MLB players in the Lester/Lackey trades and not going after prospects and "numbers on a list." Then they immediately went into the Price trade when not all the pieces were known and they were saying Walker and/or Hultzen might be in the deal, he goes on slobbering about how getting those guys was so great, the Rays got the better deal because of getting them and "they are gonna be special" and he's heard great things.
  17. Andy Marte sighting, just hit a HR in a PH at-bat for Arizona, appears to be his first plate appearance in the league since 2010.
  18. Dear lord http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--SjxCDG8s--/c_fit,fl_progressive,q_80,w_636/fxvq5bjvq8dqqmevovpj.gif
  19. I thought Schwarber's performance behind the plate since he'd been drafted would have led to a more promising assessment of his catching abilities. Hasn't he acquitted himself pretty well? Gotta give the writers time to catch up in the offseason
  20. They're gonna be the same people who say Rizzo needs a RH platoon partner after opening day when he struggles against Liriano or that we got the short end of the trade when Cashner has a good 2-3 game stretch before missing 2 months with an injury.
  21. One of the big reasons he got traded is that he complained that he wasn't getting the chance to start. I saw an unsubstantiated mention that he might've tanked some out of the bullpen in protest. Don't know any other details around that whole situation, but that's the situation being referenced in all likelihood. It says a lot about how low their opinion of him was that they essentially gave him away rather than letting him start, probably knowing that they were about to open up at least 1 rotation spot not 24 hours later. Well if the rumors are true that he intentionally tanked, you pretty much have to get him off your team. And move him to a team who highly values those intentions
  22. Hoyer already said he's not coming up
  23. I wouldn't be surprised if what they get is better than what the Rays got for Price.
