  1. He def needs to cut down, but that last AB was really solid. I was surprised that Almora wasn't in CF tonight, however with how big this OF is and Jake on the mound.
  2. HR aside, Jake's stuff looks good tonight
  3. Russell was doing well until this shoulder thing started That doesn't exactly make me feel better. Oh I know, just pointing out that we can likely point to a definable thing with Russell that hopefully heals and gets better. Rather than maybe the other 2 have some flaws/we are in for growing pains.
  4. Russell was doing well until this shoulder thing started
  5. I forgot what/who I was listening to or reading, they basically said the Rays are incredibly hard to deal with and they didn't see the Cubs doing anything with them for a number of reasons.
  6. Eh, after those dirty slides this year I don't feel bad at all for him. He took the most money, he knew their whole deal/culture there and made his own bed and had been a dirtbag to some of our guys so far this season.
  7. The warriors should win barring any injuries/suspensions. The Cavs are gonna have a hard time holding them under 110-20 a game, their defense is pretty bad.
  8. I have no want for that dirty, injury riddled hippie. Especially for the cost.
  9. Your Justin Wilson hard on amuses me.
  10. Is that really that bad of a ceiling for someone at 27 or 30, though? If you told me right now we could guarantee ourselves 2, 2-3 WAR players at 27 and 30 right now and give up all upside and downside for being locked in to that, I'd take it every time.
  11. Maybe it's just a lack of at bats against Siegrist. And Will Smith
  12. If there's no malarkey with rain, Lester may throw a no-hitter tonight Cubs' regressing defense leads to Lester losing 1-0. I hope you licked some butts tonight, Sofa. Lester is immortal
  13. Yeah, he's going to give up so many home runs they're all going to be pooped from having to run the bases so many times. If there's no malarkey with rain, Lester may throw a no-hitter tonight
  14. I've never had anything crazy happen to me other than a beaning here and there. In practice in HS a guy somehow managed to foul off a juggs ball while taking a full swing and hit himself in the face and splits his whole lip open and lost some teeth. I was standing right there and still don't understand the physics of that happening.
  15. You think he can be that good of a shooter? I don't see a scorer out of Ball like Curry/IT/Harden/etc where he scores like 24+ pts/game. I see him more like of a Jason Kidd mold (with a slightly better offensive game) where he'll go like 18/6/8. Maybe a Chris Paul with less assists a better comparison? I think he can be a very good shooter, it's not fair to say he can be Curry good but think it can be close. A more offensive Kidd is probably the best comp.
  16. The Celtics horsefeathering suck
  17. Not a fan of Fox? Admittedly, I don't know a ton about these guys but Fox is projected to go top-5. What makes Lonzo a better prospect? Eh, I think Lonzo does just about everything better than him. Especially when looking at who works best with the current roster. Don't see Fox and Russell being able to work at all together, while Lonzo and Russell could. Lonzo should/could be a elite shooter as well, don't think Fox is/can and Lonzo can see the court just as well. Idk I'm probably a bit blind watching a lot of UCLA games this year but Lonzo seemed to have 2-5 plays every game where you could just tell he was on another level/speed of the game. He isn't Lebron but it was Lebron type moments in he college sense where it was just like yeah, this guy is better than everyone he's going against. I think he can be a version of Curry in the current NBA.
  18. The Blue Jays sure seem to have a bunch of punks on their team. They are like the Clippers of MLB, act like they are the greatest ever and should get calls but have never won horsefeathers and are dirtier than just about everyone else.
  19. As a Laker fan I really want Lonzo more than anyone (also keep Russell, they can co-exist as both are plenty capable of doing things off ball. Russell is actually really good at catch and shoot numbers). So I'm excited. Just shoot Lavar to mars. Josh Jackson would be the only other guy at 2 I'd even consider, don't like Tatum really (don't know what he really does/is in the NBA).
  20. I remember last year with either Hendricks or Arrieta, Len talking about it on air after a conversation with maybe Bosio (or some coach) that yes there can be too big a gap or obviously too little a gap on the FB/CH difference. I want to say ideally they feel like it's around 4 on the low side to 7 or 8 on the high side for the margin, certainly 15+ MPH difference would be too much based on hearing that conversation last year. The margin is obviously important but throwing the FB/CH out of a similar arm slot/plane/release point is also very important. Edit: Now that I think of it, it was Hendricks they were talking about. Since even though he lacks top line velo the margins he was throwing at were ideal and also able to throw the FB/CH out of pretty much the same release point/plane/slot on top of the excellent command/control.
  21. Jesus, everyone is dying
  22. Feel like Rizzo and Willson need to get together on some sort of happy medium of hard throws to 1B
