I'm going to Vegas in about a month, I'm hoping it's around -500 to -600 when I'm there with public money pounding McGregor right now. Anything more than -600 just isn't worth it other than an anchor on a parlay. Mayweather in the 12th by decision parlayed is what I'll definitely bet at some point between now and the fight.

La Stella is on the Iowa DL and has a .556 OPS there in 94 plate appearances. I'm guessing that's at least partly due to him being cranky down there (maybe even the DL stint is?). I didn't know LaStella was on the DL. But calling him up specifically wasn't my point really. I'm just surprised they are being a little cavalier with zobrist when they have shown restraint with him even when he's healthy. Call jeimer, Zagunis or someone up if Tommy isn't an option.

I'm surprised they aren't/haven't DL'd Zobrist yet and brought Seal Boy back up. They already are relatively cautious with Zobrist with giving him off days when he's healthy (seems to always get off days around scheduled off days and a game off around day/night games back to back, etc).

That's right, I nearly forgot from his Reds days, Jay Bruce inexplicably turns in to a gold glove defender against us when he's no more useful than a bucket and a broom stick out in RF all over year.

At the moment, FanGraphs has the Cardinals projected for 83.5 wins and the Brewers projected for 77.0. Cubs at 88.7 All three of these teams are currently tied in the loss column too. So I don't even know who we should be rooting for in that series or be paying more attention to. Obviously if the Cubs just got their horsefeathers together it likely wouldn't matter, but yeah. Just cheer for extra inning so their pitching gets fucked up for a week or so. Doesn't matter who wins, we are still winning the division by 7-10+ games.

I think that's a pretty big conclusion to jump too. I think the more likely correct conclusion to make about the "quick moving arms" is that they know pitchers suck and are unpredictable so take guys who are closer to helping out before they inevitably die and avoid dreaming/taking huge risk on arms that are going to take years to develop (if they ever make it) even if there's perceived upside there (at least from the volume drafting stand point they've undertaken with college guys). I think they've also shown they don't want to/like to spend money on bullpen arms (from a monetary perspective) so a lot of these "quick moving" college arms can get here faster and with a higher probability to help out in the bullpen so they don't need to waste many resources building the pen. Almost all these college guys they take have a future bullpen role as their relative floors in their scouting reports (with potential to be plus to elite) .

I wonder what it is about the curveball, or if it will ever even come out, what they like about it so much or what they've found out about it? Do they feel a plus curveball in college carries over to MLB the best of all secondary pitches/is the easiest secondary pitch to scout? Is it a pitch they feel will play up in the current MLB environment and moving forward? Do they feel it's a pitch that has less injury risk as the main secondary pitch? Do they feel the can groom it the best/easiest in the minors?

If C's draft Fultz and then trade for Butler/PG plus the cap space, I'm not so sure that Cavs are 100% back into the finals next season. Not sure if Cavs can do much during this offseason (outside of trading Love/Thompson/JR Smith/etc) so this team won't change/improve much. Yeah Cavs can't do horsefeathers without trading dudes (and gotta take back contracts in NBA just can't dump them). And agree on Celtics if they can add some combo of Heyward, PG/Jimmy and Blake. They are probably the only real contenders still, short of a LBJ injury. Bucks still need a piece or 2 and Giannis needs to keep getting better other than them there's really nobody else in the East conceivably.
