  1. I'm guessing at least 2 of those guys are unavailable today since we are in the middle of like 15 straight games.
  2. http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/7054/1244/1600/mission-accomplished_sm.jpg
  3. It's "easy" because it's been against pretty bad competition mostly, though. I'd have to do some real digging to really stand behind this, but the 2nd best team Lebron has had to get through in the East in recent memory probably wasn't even as good as the 4th or 5th best team in the West in most years. I mean c'mon. 72-20 in Eastern Conference Playoff Series. 1 seeds in the West took 10 losses in the first round alone in that timeframe. It's a incredible record, I'm not saying it isn't and Lebron would have come out on top pretty much regardless. I'm just pointing out that the level of competition to get through in the East has just been pretty meh over the stretch. Who's the best East team he's had to go through? Those Pacers teams for 1-3 years with PG, Hibbert, West and Granger or the Celtics teams that were already on the downside?
  4. He's great and would have gotten to The Finals more years than not, but the East since he made "The Decision" has been ass by and large. i'm not impressed with his teams always advancing through those rounds, i'm impressed with just how easy it's been It's "easy" because it's been against pretty bad competition mostly, though. 5. Was May 3rd, apparently. With these new found powers I'll set the Over/Under on first inning runs allowed by Cubs pitchers as 0 by the All-Star Break

  7. The Rangers are 11-16, Hamels is going to be out until at least the ASB it sounds like. What would it take to rent Darvish for the year?
  8. Kluber to the DL with a back injury, Hamels out indefinitely (2+ months apparently) with an oblique injury
  9. Over/Under Memorial Day for Baez to take his first non-IBB walk?
  10. then who is? ...whomever the Cardinals decide to play in left? Either that, or Braun, Melky Cabrera, and maybe Khris Davis and Jason Worth. Yeah saying he's "easily the worst LF in baseball" is a bit hyperbolic. The guys you listed are equally as bad, Cespedes can be really bad, Kemp is as bad out there too. I know they normally play RF but guys like Bautista, Trumbo and Bruce are just as bad or worse too when they do log innings in LF. Nobody is saying Schwarber is that great of a LF but he's passable and there's plenty of other of guys who are in the category of "worst."
  11. never gonna happen; one could even call that a stroman fallacy Why so? Just because you don't think we'd pay the cost? Their competitive window seems to be shut, they have a roster of aging/expensive players and trading Stroman could be a jumpstart to a reboot.
  12. Just like Lester pulled us out of the abyss in Game 5 of the WS he too will pull the rotation out of its funk tonight
  13. Good work Duke, this does seem to point to more of a funk than some underlying thing or change. Has he/have we faced more LHPs in the time frame since his sucking started? Just off the top of my head it may seem like he's/we have faced more LHP recently (while being attacked the same maybe it coming from LHP is something to look at for a cause?). Edit: After looking at it (I think I sorted things right) it looks like he has faced more pitches from LHP recently. 87 pitches in the first 20 day set (25% of pitches seen), then 62 pitches in the next 7 day set (43% of pitches seen) where things went south. He's going to need to face LHP for his long-term development of the dong monster he can be, but it may be time he gets a little bit of a caddy vs LHP.
  14. Not watching the game, but he had a 1, 2, 3 6th. Maybe like Koji on back to back days, he just can't/shouldn't pitch multiple innings or be throwing nearly 40 pitches in an outing.
  15. Eddie Butler? He hasn't completed his Arrieta transformation in Iowa yet
