I think it got things roughly right and there really isn’t a problem. I’m fine sticking with 4 teams.

I'm surprised Boras has made that accusation yet. But in reality none of these guys are worth what they are asking at the top end and teams are smarter, Martinez, Arrieta, Darvish and Hosmer shouldn't be getting the $150-200+ mil 5-6+ year deals they apparently want and Cobb shouldn't be getting the $80 mil deal he wants. I don't blame them for trying but they all have flaws/flags that make those deals pretty easy to see they are huge risks and should be avoided at those costs.

If I were a Bears fan I think Landry would be the guy I’d want the most in FA i'd like an outside guy too John Brown would be a guy I’d look to add for that and re-sign Inman. Brown, Landry, Inman and a draft pick and a few Cruz/Wright type vet signings would be a intriguing WR corps imo

This question/prosposal has been brought up in different forms before in here but Darvish in that scenario I’d say 95% of the people who’ve voiced their opinion would pick Darvish (and 100% of the smart poster on here would pick him). I think Darvish is the clear option in just about any scenario short of Jake’s market turning in to a 1 year deal or Darvish approaching $30 million in aav (or whatever the FO has determined is the AAV they won’t touch or if they go to it, it affects future plans).

Max amount for me would be 4/110 and 5/130. 6 years is a no go. As long as the AAV isn’t crazy though that’s all I care about and it not screwing us in other things (which I don’t think it will, this FO has the foresight).

I am sure once Rizzo comes back from his honeymoon he will slide right back in to their weird little multi family thing they are building and that I am jealous of. Rizzo is too busy being a normal dude than to get caught up in the weirdo Mormon stuff those guys are in to. He’s letting Kris do the heavy lifting on this one.

Not to go all David here.... but Darvish’s second most recent follow on Twitter is Justin Grimm (and he only follows like 300 people and it’s not like Grimm is some great twitter personality, he hasn’t tweeted since July) and Strop recently started following Darvish..... he also liked the apology from Carl.

I have a friend who knows Big Cat pretty well and asked him to text him to see what’s going on/what happened. I’ll see if I can get anything worth anything to post here. But agree that there might be something here and Carl jumped the gun or way over stepped on what his “source” gave him and was told to STFU by someone
