  1. So it sounds like Jennings is starting the game just to face the salsa king then they are pulling him and bringing in a new pitcher to face the 2nd batter, I know Ace Chanderson sucks but this seems like way over doing it on the bullpening and if this is the route to go why not just start Hader for ~3 innings?
  2. If we’re winning the next three games I want the Brewers winning at least 2 in St Louis. I’m gonna have to strongly disagree with this line of thinking. Get the division wrapped up as soon as possible, it requires the cardinals winning so be it.
  3. Yes teams will rise from the pile of crap to be less piles of crap. I will say the Rams are legit good, but that’s about it. Everyone else is pretty bad.
  4. The VBs are skipping Ace Chanderson’s start tomorrow vs the Cardinals. They haven’t named the “starter” yet other than it’s not Hader.
  5. I mean we can argue most improbable or not, there’s no way to truly measure it, but it’s damn near the top of the list for me. He wasn’t physically able to even live a normal life, let alone play golf for good chunks of the last 3-4 years and had to have multiple surgeries. He came back to be at the top of the sport at the age of 42/43 this year (an age most guys stop being good or at least consistently good) when the sport is as strong and deep as it has ever been talent wise.
  6. Why can't we give negative hearts? “Most improbable comeback in the history of sports.” That was said multiple times in the telecast. C’mon. He’s a great player that had to overcome a lot of adversity (some self induced). And it’s very good for golf ratings and anyone associated with televising golf. But I think it was a bit much. Unlike/unheart all you want. He had to come back from back, neck and knee/leg problems and surgeries at 43 years old when golf is as young, deep and talented as it’s ever been. It’s pretty improbable to come back from that and compete at the level he has been for a good portion of the year and now finally winning one.
  7. So awesome to see, great to have competitive and winning Tiger on the tour with all the other awesome and younger guys. Ryder Cup should be a ton of fun next week, the US should kick their ass.
  8. The Cubs are a hilarious 3-18 with RISP today. It's a good thing its happening in a game where we have a lead and a good performance from our pitcher. If we keep getting 18 PAs a game with RISP I’m fine if we only hit ~.200 in that spot
  9. Nobody is good, everyone is just varying degrees of bad
  10. Hopefully they care this little the next four days also. Marte got hurt and left the game with a calf injury. So hopefully he doesn’t play in the series
  11. Schwarber’s last 45 OPS getting some improvement today
  12. Schwarber disrespecting Chili Ball, bench him for a week.
  13. Same. Once it got 1-2 I was certain he’d strike out, not hit the GB in a spot to score it or pop out. But good job by him to make his suck work out.
  14. Get this division wrapped up ASAP. Which probably means wanting the Cardinals to win 2/3 at the least.
  15. He is playing a ton of CF this year which I think is a big reason why it’s way down, he’s more of an emergency CF than a real option there. also just watching a lot of their games it seems he’s not going 100% out there to save himself from a costly injury. Maybe that’s just how he plays, but it looks like a guy not willing to slide or dive a ton, run at full speed, get close to walls or players, etc.
  16. Those idiots don’t deserve horsefeathers. But we deserve to be in a dog fight given we’ve lost to AAA lineups the last two days though.
  17. Whoever that RF’er is he played that ball horribly
  18. Remember what's happened the next time people are getting all hot-and-bothered to sign someone in their pre-arb years to a mega-extension. I’d still sign KB to a “mega extension” through his age 33/34 seasons (FA at age 31) in a heartbeat. The two times this FO has done it, it has at least worked out with Rizzo and Strop.
  19. I think you outlined this well and agree with it and those are the clear FA. I’d probably say Galvis and Mercer are my top two choices for realistic options. Gonzalez And Escobar might get decent offers both in terms of money and more guaranteed playing time. Galvis And Mercer are pretty cemented in being career bench guys at this point. We need to add someone capable of playing SS, we can’t go in with just Javy there. I don’t want to gamble on Bote/Short being able to handle short if Javy has an injury. Maybe instead of trading Almora/Happ for a pitcher if we sign Bryce we move them for a MIF (Profar? You’d have a better idea with your prospect knowledge of cost controlled targets).....Then spend money on the RP/SP?
  20. They were two out away from it being an official game and now it’s in a rain delay. Supposed to thunderstorm for several hours. The delay call was very preemptive. It didn’t look like it was raining much there. This lead may get washed away. Thames was coming up as the tying run and after him it was about to be 3rd time through so maybe it’s a blessing Nova will be pulled.
  21. Top 5 1 out and 1 on and now a rain delay. Looks like it’s going to rain there for a good 40 min to an hour.
