Cain (no idea what) and Shaw (Knee) both left the game tonight for the VBs -
The signing itself was fine, IMO, but they REALLY dropped the ball by acting like they only needed to prop up the bullpen in-season with the likes of horsefeathering Kintzler. How I feel too. Don’t pitch Morrow until after the ASB next year and add 1-2 RPs through trade/FA of Cishekish level. Preferable a younger, controllable one in a trade for the surplus after Bryce signs.

Absolutely, even if he would’ve died last year when he was throwing 83 MPH fastballs. His 2016 alone immortalized him in Cubs history. -

He has two balls hit over 90 MPH tonight, but he shouldn’t be out there vs RHP and only here and there for LHP.

He hasn’t broken a sweat. Let him finish. He is one duck double from a no hitter. Yeah let him go, have someone up if a guy or 2 reaches. He’s on extra rest his next start as well.

I've seen him actually do that swing like 5 times since he came off. That was never going to stick. I saw a theory the 2 handed swing was more for warm ups and BP to protect him more, it was never really planned for in game use. Just a way to lessen the stress on the shoulder when he was swinging not in game.
