  1. It’s annoying, but it does seem like we had some good ABs overall tonight
  2. If we have $5 million to spend on Duensings dead weight contract, we should spend a couple hundred grand on a PR firm this offseason to help improve the reputation of Schwarber knowing the zone as good as Votto. Hope the reputation catches on and benefits him on these borderline calls he always gets screwed on.
  3. Damn Schwarber got Schwarber’d on that 3-1 pitch
  4. Going to a knee killed him there once that ball took that hop it’s so hard to adjust.
  5. I’m shocked we just hit a 10 hopper ground ball in a hitters count, shocked!
  6. There’s some of that killer 2-0/hitters count contact again
  7. Bring in Lackey to finish this off
  8. I still like Happ, I think he could be a very good player one day (he’s already pretty good). It might not be with us, but I love the walks and power and the versatility even though he looks awkward at times in the field he gets the job done. From the accounts on how hard a worker he is I think he’s going to improve on the Ks/contact. He’s always going to be a higher K guy, but if he’s walking 10-15% of the time so be it if he can get it down to 28-32%. I wouldn’t just let him go for nothing if we decide to move him but I would understand if we do move him.
  9. Yeah send him back out, just have some guys ready in the bullpen
  10. At the same time, we don’t seem to scout these AAA players as hitters since they kill us so how can we expect to know they have a good arm because they probably don’t scout their defense either.
  11. At least we salvage 1 out of it but Williams was really struggling. If we weren’t idiots on the base paths we probably have a big inning there and break it open.
  12. Alright that makes up for some of the fuckery this inning
  13. On top of this he also seems to look like he’s sitting on a specific pitch/location too often, especially when he’s down in the count instead of being reactive to whatever is thrown in terms of pitch type and location. I’m fine with sitting on a pitch/location in an advantageous count but he seems to do it a lot when he needs to be in more protect/contact mode.
  14. Holy horsefeathers this is some awful coaching this inning
  15. Lackey might have come out of the crowd if that wasn’t called a strike
  16. Should’ve been a strike but also shouldn’t take 11 pitches to put a horsefeathering pitcher away.
  17. We at least have to go in to next year with a better backup option so Willy doesn’t have to play as much to help keep him fresher (still think that’s playing a big role) and to hedge against him just maybe sucking now.
  18. Gotta defend against the Chili Ball oppo singles, bro
  19. What a horrible AB by Willy, but I guess he didn’t ground in to a DP at least. Pretty inexcusable effort by Schwarber too, to not be on 2B on his ball.
