We already have as many good memories this year as we did last year. Last year: Soto hits 2-run homer early in Game 2. This year: DeRosa hits 2-run homer early in Game 1. Let's add many, many more.

I was using TBS Hot Corner and I have the WGN radio feed on pretty low. During commercials on Hot Corner they play the audio of a Sharp Aquos ad that is on a fixed volume level. There's no way to turn it down without turning down the master volume which turns down Pat and Ron. So, I turned that crap off. TBS is so "used-car-salesman-ish." There's my new word for the day.

Wow! TBS morons saying that since the Dodgers allowed the fewest runs and the Cubs scored the most runs that the offense doesn't matter going against the best pitching. Well, the Cubs are 1st in runs scored and 2nd in runs allowed, just behind LA. However, LA is 12th in runs scored behind every team not in the NL West besides Washington. Colorado and Arizona also scored more runs than them.

I'm already trying to figure out how to get another TV to put in my room. I was going to watch MU-NU with some friends, but that's not gonna happen now. Cubs on HD on one TV. Mizzou on the old standard definition right next to it. I love my Tigers as much as anyone--and yes, they are headed to the National Championship game this year--but the Cubs must be the priority right now. Plus, we're going to whip the Nubs by 3 touchdowns, you can catch it on TiVo later. GO CUBS (and Mizzou)! 11 till the prize... Oh, trust me, the Cubs will have precedence. Even though Dick Stockton is announcing, the Mizzou game will be the one muted. -

I asked a professor if we would have an exam next Wednesday the 8th b/c I have tix to Game 5 on the 7th and the trip back from Chicago would be taking place on the 8th. I knew it would be close. I didn't tell him why I was wondering and he said that our exam would be on Friday and then asked why I was so relieved. I told him and then he told me, "You know, I've been thinking we should have it on Wednesday." He's a jerk so I thought he was serious, but when he saw my facial expression he quickly let me know that he was only joking. I was relieved to say the least.
