Again, I'm not able to watch this game, but in general NFL officiating is a joke.

I was reading this on Gamecast (no TV here). I don't get it. If it was initially a fumble, then the pass should be legal. If it was incomplete then it was incomplete. I haven't seen the play, but both explanations from Gamecast and ELCABALLO don't make any sense (which ELCABALLO is pointing out I believe).

The article on the Cubs website doesn't explain why Canning is still eligible. He's not in the top 5. I don't like how Selig's personal ideas are becoming more important than what the seller/buyer/Cubs fans want.

On a side note, I better not hear anybody say that we need to have a neutral southern site or a domed neutral site for the WS. I only mention it because I just read an article about the 1997 WS where people apparently thought it would be a good idea b/c of the conditions in Cleveland (which were almost identical to the Philadelphia conditions tonight).

Yep people would be talking about how will the Cubs blow a 3-1 lead in the World Series. I wouldn't be able to focus on anything else.

I agree. It's not the regular season, Joe. It's the potential deciding game of the WS. I wouldn't want to be the person to tell the Rays that there season ends in the 6th inning down only 2-1 (Yes, I know it's 2-2 now, but when Buck was saying these things it was 2-1). It would feel empty to be a Phils fan/player to win on rain-shortened game.

Joe Buck just said, "it's an official game," but he could be wrong. It wouldn't be the first time. If McCarver had said it, then you could bank on it that they would have to play all 9.

I was thinking that maybe only young players could be successful at TB because they don't know (at least not from experience) that their stadium and fans are terrible. Also, that was ONE of the worst NA ever, but there have been worse.

You missed it. Corey Hall hurdled a Colts defender Coffmanlike. For some reason I typed 'K' for Corey and it came up 'C'. Why did it do that? Corey Patterson. I think people typed it with a K because he struck out so much. I think they made it so you can't do that anymore. That makes sense. What happens when you type Corey? EDIT: HAHA! I typed 'K P A T T'
