  1. Seriously how many times is this ump going to horsefeathers them on the high strike?
  2. It's really hard to believe what a nibbler Pressly has become. Guy is terrified of pitching in the zone.
  3. That was absolutely awful. That may have been the worst inning of the year.
  4. ****** umpire aside, sure would be nice for the offense to decide they want to hit this absolutely abysmal pitching staff.
  5. Not often you see a guy get hosed on back to back blown calls. Instead of 2-0, 0-2 and he basically has to swing at anything because everything is strike.
  6. If we gave up that much for Alcantara I would be beyond pissed off.
  7. The As has some emerging bats. Amongst those with at least 100 PAs, the Rockies currently have 3 players with a wRC+ over 100. Goodman at 102, Tovar at 109 and Beck at 129. Their 4th best hitter is McMahon at 83.
  8. It wasn't quite Bryant, Baez, Russell, etc. loaded but it was quite good, The problem is just about everyone of them fell on their face. Along with a GM who has almost entirely failed by waiting too long to cash in on assets and getting underwhelming returns on trades they did make. Combine those with an owner who to this day still hasn't surpassed a 75M contract, to Andrew Benintendi of all people, and this is what you're left with. It's just a zero effort organization.
  9. He's coming off a season with a 2.65 FIP and 2.88 xFIP. He has a sub 3 ERA over the last 3 seasons. How much higher do you expect them to aim?
  10. Yeah that single was hit at 70.3MPH. I'm not going to fault him because it was hit in the perfect spot.
  11. It seems like a complete and total no brainer of a decision and I can't figure out why it hasn't been made yet.
  12. He's very interesting pitcher from a stat perspective. It's not often you see xFIP and FIP disagree to such a large degree. 3.88 xFIP and 5.13 FIP after today's start.
  13. Because teams like the Reds have multiple holes and they could use that one player to fill multiple holes with MLB ready players.
  14. The Cubs have the AAA assets to pull off a long term starter and they should consolidate those assets.
  15. I mean, outside of that one horrific inning, he's actually been quite good. 17.1 IP 3ER going into this outing.
  16. They're also on teams that are in need of talent infusions, especially close to MLB. The Cubs have that.
  17. Ok, what was that move with Mejia putting the ball up to his nose and taking a big whiff?
