    Warren sure is getting lots of hype in mock drafts at #10 now, with Jeanty making it to #10 in basically none of them.

    So barring a 6 run comeback, the White Sox are now 4-14 (.222). That puts them on 36-126 pace. Since the start of the 2024 season they're 45-135(.250). At what point does the league step in on this? This isn't even an attempt to put a competitive team on the field.

    Jacob Wilson is putting up an .838 OPS at the moment across 68 PAs. He has yet to take a single walk and only struck out 3 times. I don't think I've ever seen anything like this.

    I expect it to about as exciting as their regular season was.

    Yeah we're to the point where based on team need and Horton's readiness, it seems a waste for him to use his limited innings in AAA. He doesn't necessarily need to come up and instantly be a starter, but he needs to be pitching in the big leagues in some form.

    The guy is sporting a 40% K rate and 54.5 HR/FB% which is absolutely unprecedented. Even a power monster like Alonso has never exceeded 30.6%. Even Aaron Judge has never been over 35.6%. Mervis is going to come crashing down hard in about a month.

    PCA has now passed Kyle Tucker in fWAR. His 1.1 fWAR puts him at 7th amongst hitters.

    Even in a world where 90+% of prospects washout, it's so bizarre to see a guy like Carraway, who was supposedly drafted a couple months from MLB ready, never even put a good stretch together at any point. He was more or less a washout from day 1 despite supposedly being basically MLB ready.

    What is this ridiculously hard schedule? After today they have the Diamondbacks, Dodgers and Phillies. 26 of their first 29 damn games are going to be played against teams that are odds on favorites to make the playoffs.

    This is kind of where I'm at. Trade back to 16 or 17 and pick up one of a handful of guys that should still be there.

    No one I'm particularly in love with that is going to make it to 10 like Carter or Graham. I do have Walker above the rest of the pack, but not by a whole lot.

    I'm all for BPA to an extent, but if it's one guy at a position of need who is a big upgrade over what they currently have versus a guy they like only a little more at a stronger position, I say take the bigger upgrade over the current personnel. Obviously if they consider one guy in a completely different tier than the others available then screw position and just take BPA.

    I never said it was completely off the table, I said they had better view him as a significantly better player than the others available at positions of significantly more need.

    God he would do so much for star potential which the farm really lacks at the moment. Lots of guys who project to be big leaguers and guys who project to be above average regulars, but not so much for guys who could be perennial all star types.

    Cubs take this series against SD, I'm all on board and I want Jed out there making a move for a top tier starter sooner rather than later.

    Because if he's a borderline top 10 player at his position, he's basically Kmet.

    I don't know how you can't be excited about taking consecutive series against the Padres, Rangers and Dodgers. Those are all teams that are probably headed to the postseason.
